Day 21 - Picture of ME!

Finally Friday... a little late...

So... lets see what I accomplished in October...

  • Move treadmill out to hobby shop  - done! I think it might even be plugged in and ready to use, because I am not loving walking outside now that the temperature is dropping outside!!

  • Paint Master bedroom - No GO!! We were supposed to do it this past weekend... but life had other plans! Mike had a fire training course come up suddenly on Friday and Saturday and then Saturday night when he go home, he was tired, so we just went to dinner with J&H& baby E, leaving us only Sunday to start the trim. However, we went into to town to pick up a few lot of items... came home and filled the bucket in the laundry sink to wipe down the baseboards and... our laundry room pump stopped working... which meant there was water all over the floor, and M spent 30 minutes troubleshooting it, to taking it right apart, to deciding that we needed a new one. The stores closed at 6:00 and it was 5:50 and we live more that 10 minutes out of town! So... needless to say, no painting, but I did buy a new hallway sconce for upstairs, so M hung that instead and I LOVE IT!

  • Make applesauce & apple crisp - Applesauce was great, but instead of apple crisp I made apple pie and was delicious!! I even made it WITHOUT nutmeg!! I now have some for next time!!

  • Make dog beds - post will be up tomorrow :)

  • Get gardens ready for winter - this is half done... the front of the house is done, but the back is not so much...

  • Switch rugs out in great room  - this is done, but I am not sure that I am loving it.. I mean the rug is FANTASTIC, but it shows the dog hair WAY too much, so we will see if it stays!

  • Organize one of the closets upstairs

  • Sell old washer and dryer

  • GET new washer and dryer! - these are great and I am almost caught up on laundry!!

  • Start using Wii Fit again - yup, definitely did not touch this one....

  • Get desk from the barn at the farm and put in hobby shop - this is done and I will hopefully have my scrapbooking corner up out there soon!!

  • Pick fabric for gazebo topper - this is actually no longer the plan!! I am not sure what the plan is right now... but it will not include making a new topper anymore, just simply not worth it! We may get a whole new structure!

  • Go see the movie "Life As I Know It" - this movie was great!! One minute I was laughing and the next I was crying, but it was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend it!!
  • Get a manicure - I just snuck this one in last Thursday and they look great!! No more ugly nails!
  • Buy a new purse!! - I did, but I had to return it, as it has a rip in it. I ended up replacing it at a completely different store... and ended up taking all of my purse belongings in a grocery bag. M kept teasing me to take it into store, especially Wal-Mart, so they could put a sticker across it....
So a total of 10/15... not bad... not bad!!

10 YEARS = A DECADE!!

Wow, today marks a big day in history!! 10 years ago today was the start of something special, the start of a bond sooo deep and meaningful. Today continues that bond, yet it means sooo much more! Ten years ago today was Mike and I's first date!! Who knew that not only 5 years, but 10 years later we would be where we are today, totally in love and happily married for 3 years!

In the last 10 years, we have not only grown closer together, but we have grown as individuals together. We function not only as a couple, but as a family. I have had kisses on my forehead for 10 years! Who knew that a "promise promise" meant 10 years? One promise was never enough, especially when we had our long distance relationship, we used to say "I love you, promise promise".

In 10 years, we have come a long way!! We met back in high school (we were at different high schools though), we lived through 2 years of a long distance relationship-5 hours apart, we bought our first house, got engaged, 2 years after that we got married, moved to our 2nd house, being married for 3 years now, and as happy as can be! I wouldn't trade it in for anything.

Dear M,

I just wanted to thank you for the last 10 years! You mean the world to me. I would not be who I am today without you.

If something ever happened to you, it would happen to me. I would be devastated. I know as a volunteer firefighter, your job requires risk, but I just want you to know that I appreciate the risks you take to help others, but I will always be awake and waiting for you when you come home because I love you. Please always come home to me! My world would shatter if something ever happened to you and I just want you know that I LOVE YOU.

I love you for who you are on the inside and out. I love your heart. I love our life, our family and our pets. Everyday you make me laugh, you make me smile and you make me feel the butterflies in my stomach when you kiss me goodnight and goodbye in the morning. Your touch alone means soo much to me, along with your hugs. You can make the worst day disappear in your arms, just knowing you are there for me, no matter what.

I want to thank you for your support in the challenges we have faced within the last 10 years, not only have we come through them with our heads held high, but we have learned and grown soo much. People may not think our life is perfect, but in my eyes, it is, it is as perfect as it gets! I could live alone on your love. I love waking up in your arms, and closing my eyes to your kiss. I love your eyes and your smile.

10 years babe, a decade and I would do it all over again! So here is to another 10 years of absolute happiness. Happy Halloween babe! I love you more than you will ever know, because I cannot show it enough or measure it with words.

I love you,

Your WIFE,

Day 20 - Nicknames...

My nicknames are pretty basic. The most common ones being A, Ash, AshPants, Crash, Babe, and Osh (by Hannah). Also due to a certain speeding ticket.. hubby has been calling me Speedy Conzalas and he even sings the theme song... enough said...

So I figure I will give you some of the nicknames I call my pets! Because we all know how easy it is to nickname the furballs.

Lily gets called: Lily Bean (since she was a pup), Billy (by Mike's parents), Beef (because she is 100 pounds... on thyroid meds), Red (obviously her color), Lily Banana Boat (just sounds silly), Lil (for short).

Gracie gets called: Gracie Mae (her middle name.. she was born in May), Gracie Clepto Mae (because she steals things... rather humorous story to be told at a later date), Chunk (she has a big head), Puppy, Grace, Baby G.

Jazz gets called: Jasmine (when she is bad), Jazzy (most commonly), Little B*tch (because she is one..), Jewish Cat (I don't even know why..) Jubes, Chubby Chenga (she has a double chin and a gut), Mommy's Baby (because she only likes me), Jazzy Jigalo, etc.

Binx gets called: B, Binxy, Binky, X-Box (we had a house guest call her this randomly and it stuck, then we found out that he named her that because she acts like most characters on Mike's X-Box), Little Black Terrorist (she is CRAZY), Mommy's Little Mistake (she is really small for her size and CRAZY), Buce, BooBoo, Boose (because she acts drunk often) and Bubba.

Day 19 - Something I Miss

  • I definitely miss my Grandma. She was such an inspiration and staple in my childhood. I miss my Grandpa too..
  • I miss Grandma's cookies and honey on toast. I miss her cakes that she used to make, in all different shapes and forms, sometimes even with money it!
  • I miss Snoopy - you can find his post HERE.
  • I miss Mike's Grandpa. He married us and was such an inspiration as well. I enjoyed popping in to visit him randomly surprising him with WonTon soup...
  • I miss my childhood thoughts, when I believed that Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc were real. I remember how excited I was to learn that they had visited! It is almost like the magic of a child.. I miss that!
  • I miss my childhood and wish that kids today could grow up in an atmosphere where people around you were trusted, where you could go door to door for Halloween, where you didn't hear about school shootings, where kidnapping was a rare occurrence, when the world was a happier place, when you didn't worry about your family members and the crazy people out there that blow up planes and buildings... I don't even know when the world went wrong, but I know that when I have kids, they will not grow up like I did! Maybe all of these things happened 20 something years ago and I was just to innocent to clue in, but now a days you have to teach your children that there are BAD people out there, you have to teach them about trust, you have to tell them that some people should not be parents, you have to explain why these bad things happen to good people, you have to prepare them to enter this crazy society....it is sad... and I miss that "life" I had believing in the good of people and being blinded from the bad.

Christmas Cards from Shutterfly!!

Yes, it is not even November yet and I am talking about Christmas cards, but I just want to make sure they are done in time!! This year I will be ordering from Shutterfly!!

They have some great designs to choose from in all different styles, including folding or flat. AND if you are having a Christmas party, you can even make invites!! Make sure you check them all out HERE!

I really like the Pretty Poinsettia Print or the Elegant Floral Black Holiday. I love that you can personalize them with your own information and messages! The Harmonious Noir Holiday even lets you have a picture inside too!!

The best part of getting these invites with Shutterfly is that “Shutterfly is offering 20% off all holiday cards” . Just click on that link and check it out for yourself!! Christmas card shopping is soo much fun!! And these are original, so no one will recieve the same one!!

I hope you guys all have fun checking out this amazing site! It is soo hard to pick just one card!! But I love that we can use our family photo(s) to create a special keepsake! People will never forget who gave them the card!

While you at shutterfly, make sure you check out the photo gifts too, great christmas present ideas and you could get your printing caught up with great quality photos!! You even get free shipping on order $30 or more! How could you go wrong! I don't know about you, but I don't have a lot of time on my hands, so being able to do all this from home or the office is great!!

Which one would you pick?

Day 18 - Regrets

Well, I suppose most of us have them, but me... not really... I guess it is my outlook on life, but I believe in living life to the fullest, no regrets. Of course there are things I wish I could change if I went back in time, but things happen the way they happen for a reason and we learn from these things. The older I get, the easier it is to look back at the things I have done, that maybe I shouldn't have, but it also those things that have got me to where I am today and have taught me the things I know today.

Things I would change if I could go back in time would be:
  • the way things ended with my previous employer.... I wish I had of walked out when I was going to, instead of being persuaded to stay.
  • I wish I had MORE wedding photos! I have a TON, but I am a photo lover! You can NEVER have too many!
  • I wish I took more pictures of everything, so I could document everything in my life, although having a blog is helping with that.
  • I wish I had of visited my Grandma more often before she passed, instead of being busy with my own life, I look back now and think how selfish I was.
That is about all I can think of right now.

I guess sometimes I would wish to change things I have said in the past too, because maybe they have not been the nicest...or maybe they have hurt people. I apologize for these things, as I am human.

But I still stand strong on NO REGRETS!! I have learned from my mistakes and they have made me stronger and possibly made others stronger too... (I am not justifying my actions in any way, shape or form if they were wrong). They have helped me become the person I am today and have gotten me to where I am in live today!

What I Am Loving Wednesday

Head on over to Jamie's - What I am Loving Wednesdays and link up!!

I am loving that the radio is playing "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey right now, as I write this!

I am loving the comment my husband blurted out last night. "You know I have been with you for a long time and that you are rubbing off on me when I look at my socks and think to myself and secretly get excited that my socks match my shorts." Priceless.... and if any of you know my husband in real life, you would know that he is challenged in the matching department, unless I lay his clothes out for him, or he consults with me before he leaves the house!

I am loving the view I had today on my way to work! I was driving along the river and saw a beautiful buck (deer) standing across the river drinking out of it, with a doe a little further back! Soo peaceful! I wanted to stop my car and just sit there and watch them! Obviously I didn't but I would have loved to just take in that moment!

I am loving that I am FINALLY going to get a manicure tomorrow! I look forward to having pretty nails again!!
