Five On Friday

We ended up having a busy week, I can hardly believe it's Friday already!!

1) yesterday we had 2 play dates, first one was swimming with the new neighbours behind us. Their little girl is turning 2 soon! Noah did great at the public pool, I wasn't sure how he would handle the splashing and noise, but he loved it all!! It was great! In the afternoon our girls night turned girls afternoon play date! The 3 boys played well together while Maeve napped, but Noah was sure to add her into the fun when she got up! Loved seeing Noah play with the boys! When did my baby turn into a little boy?

He was pretty tired after swimming! Of course it was during his nap time!

How adorable right?!?

2) Today I am headed back to Old Navy to exchange the red jacket for the next size up so it will fit him come fall, as it fits him perfectly right now. But the other ones I got gives him a bit more room to grow right now, and we can't quite turn in our winter coats yet! I just think I will get longer wear doing it this way! I am impressed his winter coat still fits him despite his growth spurts! It is 6-12 months and he still has room!

3) another low key weekend up ahead and I am looking forward to it! Hoping for some nice weather
so we can be outside a bit more! We have a birthday party on Sunday and that is about it!

4) finished my first Robert M. Drake book Spaceship- It wasn't at all what I expected, still had good quotes, but I would have wanted to see more, as it was one quote for two pages, so it was a really quick read. I'm thinking the newest book coming out might be more of what I wanted. But I do love the quotes and they speak to me on soo many different levels!

5) Spring is officially here and it's here to stay!!! Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!!

Things I Can't Live Without

Today I thought I would link up with Katie with Things I Can't Live a Without.

I thought it was going to be a really easy to post, but then clearly I put too much thought into it! Aside from my family, pets included there isn't much I could NOT live without, so I decided to lighten up a bit (haha) and start with saying I couldn't live without my own vehicle.

Clearly I wasn't stepping outside to photograph my car in my nightshirt, so I will find a pic that best represents it! Now you would never know the difference, because mine is this color, year, model, etc.

And it's taken in a parking lot haha.

Anyways, the reason I couldn't live without my vehicle while being a SAHM is simply because I would go stir crazy! I love being able to go out when I want! It allows us to do so many things like grocery shopping, swimming dates, play dates, play groups, shopping, visiting friends and family, drive to the trails, etc. Not to mention I live in a village about 15 minutes away from most of the above. Country living at its finest! I love our location but it is definitely not because of the amenities, we have all that matters - a place to get our beer and wine, a variety store, a spa and a restaurant, 2 if you count the golf course!

It's not a location you can just walk for your groceries or catch a bus, you could get a taxi but it would cost you $40 one way.

So having a car is essential around here, and it saves us soo much time on the weekends not having to do groceries then when it is busiest. And when the weather is bad or I need a bigger vehicle I can always take M's truck and he will take my car.

The car itself is fully loaded with leather seats and most importantly seat warmers for the winter months and a sunroof for the summer months! It fits us all in at once, dogs, baby, husband and myself - we haven't tried putting the cats in with us, but I'm sure it would work. It would also bring a whole new level to crazy! It also has a CD player that I used for the first time, after owning the vehicle for 3 years, with Jenn to listen to the new Taylor Swift CD!

Overall it has been a great family vehicle for us!!

There you have it, something I could not live without!!

Noah - 12 Months

Weight:
21 lbs 8 oz - 46 weeks
23 lbs 9oz - 52 weeks

Height:
30.25 inches

Sleeping: Aside from the odd night where teething wakes Noah, he is sleeping great at night and is going down like a champ from either M or I. He is waking up between 5:30/-6:30 for a bottle and usually goes back down until about 7:30. We are toying around with his schedule a bit as he is trying to go down for just one nap a day, which he isn't quite ready for because he doesn't nap long for the one nap!

Feeding: Noah is a great eater! There are very few things that he does not like! Hopefully this remains true!! We are still introducing things slowly, but we have been told he can pretty miuch have whatever we are eating now! I will be waiting until he is at least 2 to introduce fish because of my allergy.

Clothing: 12 months!

Diapers: We are in size 3's now!!!

Looks: Blue eyes, and light brown hair.

What The Doctor Had To Say: We haven't seen the doctor, but we will be this month!

Nicknames: No Nap Noah, Captain, Mr. Magoo, Mr. Man, Bunny, Little Man, Mama's Monkey.

Likes: Walking, getting scared by Mommy or Daddy, waving, clapping, his tractor and dump truck,  fire truck, his lovies, blankets, remote controls or phones, various toys, crawling, eating, the dogs and cats, singing and dancing. He loves bath time and gets one every night before bed! He also loves his new little house, his digger and his own remote control! He has taken a liking to little people and has the barn as well as the ark.

Dislikes: Things being stacked, being told no.

And this is why we are happy the monthly photos are done because it is impossible to sit still and he is turning into an escape artist! Turns out he thinks it is fun:

This post is only a month late! Oopps!! Glad I wont be doing them monthly now!

St. Maarten Day 3 & 4

Thursday we headed to a beach (Friars Bay) so Noah could experience his first swim in the ocean, albeit the Carribean Sea, and it didn't disappoint!

He was interested in watching the water rush in and out so when the water touched him, he fell on his butt, fussed a bit and then was fine! Once he got the hang of it, he loved it!!

We quickly learned that beaches are not all that fun with a toddler that puts everything in his mouth! But he enjoyed it, so we stayed for a bit, and had our picnic lunch we brought after our swim!
Check out that sandy mit!

Noah enjoyed trying to push his stroller around in the sand and playing peek around the back of it:

Of course he got a mosquito bite on our first day right beside his eye there... It swelled something fierce, as did the ones on his hand! The Mosquitos were horrible and we used most of the bottle on Grandpa! Luckily he didn't get many more! I was covered in them as well.

We left just as the wind got crazy! We stopped at local bakery to grab baguettes, which we were spoiled with!! They have lots of French bakeries all over the island, in fact that is all we ate when it came to bread! They were soo good! We also tried some of the ice cream there and it was soo rich and creamy! Noah enjoyed it too!

Friday we were ready to your the town of Marigot and went to the market after nap time! Grandpa and Noah were ready to tour:

At the market we got maracas for Noah, a new hat for myself and some currie powder. It was only getting hotter out, so we grabbed a drink, fed Noah and headed back to the complex and swam the afternoon away after nap time! Noah loved being thrown up in the air:

and then of course I needed to try to get one with the ocean view:

love these two:

After our swim, we went and got ready to go out for dinner. Mike needed to get his lobster dinner in! The place we ate had another great view:

excuse the crazy wind blown hair lol!

but check out this sunset!! Amazing!

We ended the evening off with a game of cards and then off to bed we went! Noah was having a lot of issues during the middle of the night during the middle of our stay, as he would wake up and not remember where he was! So we learned to leave his lullaby music on all night and that ensured a full nights sleep!!

Today Mike's parents come home too!

[ Weekend Rewind ]

Soo nice to have positive temps still floating around these parts! The fact that the grass is starting to become visible excites me, but we have a long way to go!

Thursday I found out my sister was able to get us tickets to see Luke Bryan!!! Soo excited for this concert!!!

Friday night we had our couples night and played some Cards Against Humanity - highly recommend that game haha - we enjoyed some yummy snacks and beer! It was a fun, and easy night!

Saturday morning after breakfast M took Noah for a crop tour to check on the jobsites while I headed into town to make some returns at Carter's (love their return policy) and picked up a new jacket for Noah, as well as few other goodies!

He is actually starting to outgrow his socks, so I bought the next size up! I also got him a new summer hat since we apparently don't have one! I need to find him a ball cap!

We actually timed it perfectly and were back at the same time! I was supposed to go to Winners to look for a spring coat for myself, but I just didn't feel like it!

I finished watching The Judge (I had watched about half of it on our flight to St. Martin). It is an excellent movie!! Highly recommend it!

The afternoon was spent playing and while Noah slept for an hour and half, I treated myself to the hot tub since my neck was still sore from the day before. I have a big knot in it preventing me from turning my head properly but it's too tender to touch, so heat it is! It felt much better after!

I also did a little online shopping and ordered myself 2 new books by Robert M. Drake! His books consist mainly of quotes and thoughts, which I really enjoy! Here are a few quotes:

I can't wait for them to come in! I also can't wait for:
-the new baby gate to come in so we can stop tripping on chairs barricading the kitchen!
-Noah also started chewing on his crib rail a bit, so I bought the crib rail protector.
-Shutterfly sent me another free offer for a stationary pack! Yes please!
-While we were in St. Martin they offered me a free 16x20 print! Perfect for the bathroom!!

Needless to say next week will be a happy mail week!

Saturday night was spent snuggling with this little cuddle bug:

We watched a boring movie called Stay with Taylor Schilling. I thought I would stick it out and watch it because I like Taylor Schilling but man it was slow and boring! Which reminds me, I bought the new InL3D Box for the TV, so watching movies and tv shows online is soo much easier now!! No laptops wires everywhere, etc.

Sunday after breakfast we headed to Cambridge to go to Old Navy to pick up a coat I had on hold for Noah! Lesson learned - don't wait until last minute for these kind of things!! Luckily I ended up hitting an awesome sale and got 2 for the price of 1!! As well as a few extras and
clearance for myself!!

The red coat is actually going to get exchanged for the next size up, as it fits now, where as the blue one gives him more room to grow for spring! The red one will be great for fall!!

I also got myself this shirt just in time to start up round 3 of the 21 day fix! I was pleasantly surprised to find myself an extra pound lighter since finishing round 2! 6 more pounds go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight!

Excuse the make up free look haha!

The afternoon was spent playing and putting away laundry! We are pretty much caught up now! Noah also spoiled us with having a 2 hour nap!! He had some stellar hair afterwards too:

I was happy to see The Kardashians back on! Yup just admitted that dirty little secret on the blog haha. I'm not even sure why I enjoy that show, but I do!!

That's pretty much our weekend wrapped up! Tomorrow Noah has his 12 month shots - only a month late! Soo not looking forward to him feeling crummy afterwards! Mikes parents also get home tomorrow night!
