Weekend Rewind

Although our warm temps have disappeared this weeks, not that I am complaining about above 0 temps, but apparently we are supposed to see more snow this week.

But either way Spring is here!!

Our weekend was pretty low key.

Friday we made this cake:

Noah wanted sprinkles on the whole thing, so I decided to compromise and let him put sprinkles in
cookie cutters, that way we didn't all have to have sprinkles!

Helping make the cake:

We enjoyed a nice dinner at the farm and before heading home. Noah cracked us all up when it came time to eating cake, he was sharing with Mike and all of a sudden busted out "Daddy, it's mine, not yours!!!" It was soo cute!! Noah enjoyed his kobota ride with Grandpa! Needless to say he was up a bit later that night, but went to bed like a champ!

Saturday we worked hard on crossing things off the to-do list. We had to run into town Saturday
morning on a mission to find this baby it's "birth bear". We bought Noah a bear before we had him,
and wanted to do the same for this one, but we have been looking and just not finding what we have been looking for! We also grabbed some groceries while we were out! We ended up stopping at the hallmark store and found just the right one!!

Noah picked between two, however when we got home he thought it was for him, although he kept saying baby as he snuggled it! We put it in the nursery and he seems to have forgotten it! I think we will have to get the baby some lovies like Noah's - soo easy to wash!

When we got home we did some house work and played. During naptime I decided to try a new project of cutting fabric on my Cricut. It worked great!! I can't wait to show you the finished product, but it is a gift, so you will have to wait!! I will say I don't have the best of luck with iron ons though.

We went into town to goto East Side Marios, as they had a good deal on and I have been craving a good salad for weeks. The wait time was horrible, so we ended up eating KFC, which was not very good. Noah didn't complain:

When we got home the boys took Gracie for a walk and just after they got back Grandma and Grandpa came over to take over bedtime routine while M and I while we went out for couples night! We all enjoyed a good game of Cards Against Humanity! We ended up getting home just before midnight.

Noah did alright with us leaving, luckily we had picked out his favorite books which helped distract him that Daddy wasn't putting him to bed! I will admit, I'm glad he wasn't screaming for me this time - breaks this mamas heart!! But he definetely did better!!

Sunday morning he spoiled us with a sleep in and was in a great mood! Sunday morning snuggles are our fave:

We managed to get all the laundry put away, we got out the pack and play and the mamaroo, and I snuck in a soak in the hot tub and a nap. I made reservations for dinner this time and we invited my Dad to join us! It was perfect, crazy busy, but perfect and they seemed to think that they messed something up and we ended up getting a free dessert too!! Noah was a champ and really enjoyed the Cesar salad!!

They had a magician walking around who made Noah a balloon! He was quite impressed with that and his ice cream, but really excited about the funnel cake Mommy and Daddy got to share!!

He ended up on a crazy sugar high, of course, but we didn't mind, as he behaved soo well during dinner!! We stopped at Walmart for cat food and headed home! He was still spun even after running (literally) through Walmart!

He also picked out this cat toy for the cats, Jazz thinks you just roll on it... But the other two get it!

I ended up having to sew the iron ons on the blanket after all, so I did that quickly last night before calling it a night. We also got all the bottles sterilized and dinner made ahead for tonight! We are trying a chicken bacon ranch casserole!

Noah and I seem to be coming down with a bit of a cold, so we are laying low today.

Friday Things

And just like that it is Friday and no, I am not complaining, but this week went by fast.

What went down??

- spent some time with the girls Monday night
- Mikes parents and my Dad made it home safely on Wednesday, so this baby can come anytime now!!
- had my OB appt, blood pressure is back under control on the meds, even though I feel crummy, it should buy us some more time!
- we have 2.5 weeks to go and we will have a baby!! C-section date has been set and an end is in sight.
- today marks the furthest I have been pregnant. So we are celebrating with a bare belly shot:
- we cut Noah's hair at home last night and I am happy with how it looks! I just kept imagining the baby coming and him having long shaggy hair! That will not be the case!
- this weekend I will be packing my hospital bag and we will finish up the last few things on the to-do list! We also have a date night Saturday!
- we sold my car yesterday, within 48 hrs of listing it, she was sold for asking price! There will be certain things I will miss about it, but my new mom-mobile is pretty sweet as well. We are now officially a Ford family. I am now driving a Ford Flex, which gives me lots of room to tote around the kiddos and Miss Grace! Bye-bye Pontiac Torrent - it was fun!!
- today Noah and I have a cake to bake, as I promised Noah we would make one when Grandma and Grandpa got home. We are having dinner with them tonight, so I know Noah will love baking today!! Here was my view this morning:

36 Weeks with Baby V2

How Far Along:
36 Weeks

Size Of Baby?

Maternity Clothes?
Yes, along with comfy clothes and pjs!! I am at the point where comfortable is best!!

Stretch Marks?
Nope, trying to remember to put oil on at least once a week or more now because I'm nervous they might come this time since I'm soo much bigger!

Gender?
We will find out in April!! If you ask Noah, he insists and will argue that it is a girl!

Name?
We will share in April, our names are pretty much set, I did add in one more girl name that M is in love with, but I'm on the fence!

Sleep?
Not great. Naps are when I have them though. Reflux is at its worst when lying down and after meals. Baby is still sitting super high, so it is hard to get comfortable at bedtime.

Cravings/Aversions?
Two-bite brownies over and over please, oh and skim milk too!

Movement?
Baby is moving and grooving like crazy again.

Weight Gain:
29 pounds! Turns out I hadn't gained any weight over the last 2 weeks and actually lost a pound!

Feeling?
So incredibly tired, especially since being put on blood pressure meds. It's a good reminder to slow down, this I know and I am listening to my body, but it is frustrating as well when you just want to get stuff done, but no energy. I remember this feeling on the meds last time too. Reflux and nausea are still kicking around.

What I Miss?
Sleeping comfortably.

Items Bought for Baby:
I bought a scale for the baby since our well baby clinic isn't offered anymore and I will miss weighing this baby every week!

What the doctor had to say?
Well my blood pressure decided to spike, so I ended up on meds. Baby is still breech, so we discussed what my delivery plan/options are and because my blood pressure has decided to go up, the baby is breech and I had a previous section, he thought it would be safest to go ahead with the planned c-section, which I agreed to as well. He wanted to wait an extra week before setting the date to see how my blood pressure was going to respond. So if I go into labor on my own, as long as baby isn't about to come out, I will have a csection regardless. Feels good to have a plan.

Highlights:
The nursery is ready, for the most part, once we know if it's a boy or girl we can finalize the decor!
Getting our maternity pics back - love them all!!!
Checking off more things off my to-do list!

Belly Button?
In, but part of it pops out when I laugh. Soo creepy!

Bump Pic:

Looking Forward to:
Getting our planned c-section date!
Making it further than my last pregnancy!!

Our maternity pics are back and I love and cherish absolutely every single one if them!!!

Another pregnancy is another blessing and even though I'm soaking up every last minute with my little boy - just him and I, we are working on preparing him as well!!!

Such a special time in our lives documented perfectly!!

Weekend Rewind

Phew, another week just zoomed on by and we are back at Monday!! What's happening?

I'm still pregnant, blood pressure is responding to the meds so far - which you will hear more about on tomorrow's blog with the bump date.

We accomplished quite a bit this weekend for me having to take it easy - so grateful for a helpful and understanding husband and our toddler was super co-operative as well!!

Let's rewind to Friday - I had my appt (more details tomorrow), I also did a little shopping while in London, picked up a few Peppa Pig books for Noah, tried the new Harvey's slushies - soo good, especially the grape!!

I found some lamps at home sense for the bedroom, but didn't buy them for some stupid reason. I had it in my head that they were soo expensive. Why is everything soo much more money than I ever remember spending when we first bought our house?? Was I just super cheap? Have my tastes become expensive or am I looking at better quality?? What the heck!! It is such an expensive replacement year as I have mentioned prior, with replacing our toaster, sandwich press, glasses are up next, new lamps for the great room, bedroom and dining room, we still need new towels... Man oh man! Granted I have had the same stuff since we bought our first house, so I got good use out of them all and heck some were even hand-me-downs.

So anyways back to the lamps, after not buying them, discussing them with M and my mom, my sister, etc - you know buying lamps is apparently a big deal? You would swear I was about to drop hundreds of dollars...they were on clearance for $38 each!! I now know that this is a great deal. So Saturday morning I called the store, they still had them and put them on hold for me and my Mom picked them up. Stay tuned for when I get them from my mom, which may be next week! Phew, up next operation find a lamp for the dining room without freaking out over the price!!

Noah and M had a fun boys day, I got home and Noah had to check to see if the baby was still in my tummy!! He must sense the baby will be coming soon!!

Our evening was spent playing and relaxing!

Saturday morning Noah surprised us with a sleep in! We all slept in for the most part. I woke at 7, but managed to stay in bed a bit longer!

We had to make a quick run to the grocery store to pick up a few last minute supplies for our freezer meals we were planning on making, we came home, tidied up and got right to work in the kitchen with making chili.

My cousin and her little guy Gabe came over to play in the afternoon:

After they left, I sorted through a few more baby things, found the towels, swaddled, etc. The boys went outside to get some yard work done and organizing between the shop and the garage and Noah tried to get his truck out, but the battery didn't last long (as we hadn't charged it - oops!!)

We enjoyed chili for dinner and then after Noah went down I worked on the baby quilt I am in the process of making! I got it all put together, so we are over half way done!!

Sunday was a busy one. The clocks sprung forward, so we decided to help Noah transition we would just do everything 30 minutes later than usual. It worked out for the most part. Sunday was a busy day, but I'm happy to say this nesting mama is feeling good! The nursery is all clean and mostly ready, our bedroom is spotless, bassinet is all ready, the mudroom and dining room both cleaned. It was good. We figured out some organization for the baby stuff to be on the main floor for ease post c-section and got laundry done!

Noah was a champ and "helped" us all day, which I get wasn't all that much fun for him. I will say this was the day it dawned on me that I am super pregnant now and I feel it! It could be the new meds, but I felt my body actually telling me to slow down yesterday and I did listen. I ended up napping while M made the hashbrown casserole for the freezer and resting with my feet up inbetween jobs! After dinner we focused on playing with Noah until it was his bedtime. We had quite a few belly laughs and I actually felt my belly button pop out while laughing... Soo creepy!

Because I am supposed to be taking it easy, we are just going to have a low key day today around the house.
