Love Love Love

So I will start if today with the fantastic winner of the Voice last night!!! My sister is pretty mad.... Because the girl I picked from the start won!!! And I mean Team Blake Shelton the whole way for the 2nd year in a row!!!! Danielle Bradbery won!! Here is some of her amaze-balls work:

She is like a Taylor Swift combined with Carrie Underwood!! Can't wait for her record!!

Moving on....

I love that instead of making dinner last night as I had planned, I ended up picking up dinner because we had no power. Luckily it came on just in time to watch The Voice.

I love that they changed the flavor of the green skittle. Life changing moment - its now green apple!! Amazing change!!

My Dad's Retirement party is on Friday and guess who has a tonne of clothes in her closet, but still has nothing to wear - that fits. I am hoping that I will be able to wear this dress that I wore in Jamaica:

But it is too big! So I am heading to the farm tonight to get M's Mom to help me take it in! I had only wore it once, so I figure it is worth the repair! I have it in purple too so I am going to have her help me with both!

My garden is growing like a weed, but it is weed free thanks to using the planters instead of the garden! My beans and corn are taking off!! I don't see much happening with the carrots, watermelon or lettuce compared to the corn and beans.

The rest of the week evenings are going to be busy! We have dinner at the farm tonight, baseball tomorrow night, Dad's retirement party and baseball right after!

Hubs in The Hotseat

So I figured that I would do this little question/answer session with M, that I saw over on Caroline's blog. I figured that maybe this would redeem us a bit since we failed at the couples question and answers in Jamaica! We only got 1 right there... Swingers

This part of Jamaica needed its own blog post.

No M and I did NOT participate, however we were totally exposed to it with no choice.

I can honestly say I had heard about swingers, ya the swing dancers and yes the couples that decide to share partners... and although I have seen swing dancers before, I had never seen swingers before.

How did we know they were swingers? Well let's start from the beginning should we...

M was playing volleyball and this couple joined the game. She decided it would be best to put her bikini top back on for the game... OMG could you imagine if she didn't? They have got to be about 40 years old.  After the game M was hot, the pool was freezing so we decided to go swim in the ocean. The guy that played volleyball with Mike approached us in the ocean and just chatted it up. Seemed like a normal guy. He explained to us that he was there with a group of 6 and that they travel with each other once a year around the same time. I happened to look up on the beach to see that not only was his wife topless again, but 2 of her friends were too. Whatever - not my thing, no judgements... yet... haha

As the week went on, we thought we would see things between the group of 6, but just figured we had the couples mixed up. Until one night, M and I were heading up to our room and were about to get off the elevator when the doors open and sure enough there were 2 of the wives barely clothed, D-RUNK and making out. M and I just kind of looked at each other in shock. Yes we have seen lesbians, however we were not exactly expecting to see THAT when the doors opened. The ladies laughed it off and moved to the side so we could get off. It was at this point that we figured out just what was going on!

We later learned that they had keys to each others rooms and switched it up often. Nonetheless it became humorous when we saw them around the resort.

I think the disturbing part was the fact that they were recruiting. No M and I were not invited - Thank goodness! But we had met people who had been. We also saw their attempts go down at the pool. The poor couples that had no idea what was going on, just thought they were nice people, until the one lady tried to take off the other ladies top... that did not go over well. They quickly learned what was going on.

So, after being fully exposed to swingers and how they role, I still don't get why they do it. They are essentially cheating on each other. I don't really stand for that myself. I don't care if one is or both are, it is still cheating. But each to their own. I am sure after this trip they go home and live their lives as normal people, not letting on that they prefer to switch it up every now and then. It's gotta be a rather secretive life.

Jamaica Recap

Hello Friends!! I am back and it feels great, although I can not lie, it would feel better in Jamaica!! My weekend was pretty boring as we were trying to get somewhat organized and unpacked on the weekend, so I figure today I would go over just what went down on our vacation, or shall I say what did not go down!!

We woke up late on Thursday, leaving me no time to curl my hair before heading to Toronto. When we arrived at the airport we checked in, went through security and then had some breakfast at a restaurant in the airport - surprisingly not bad!

Our flight down was problem free and into the Jamaica airport we were. I don't know if any of you have been to Jamaica - we flew into Montego Bay, and it was super creepy to be landing when all I could see out my window was the ocean. It seriously looked like we were landing in the ocean. Clearly we didn't...

We were staying in Ocho Rios which is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away. The bus ride there was crazy, not to mention they drive on the wrong side of the road!

Our hotel was truly amazing and in all honesty we did not even leave the resort once!! There was plenty of opportunity, but we just decided to literally lay around all week!! The pool was freezing! The only time I went in it was when I did Aquasize. Love water aerobics! Otherwise we swam in the ocean. M went scuba diving, I had no desire and learned that was good thing because of my ears I probably wouldn't have been able to anyways.

I had my first ever massage!! Amazing!! We did a couples full body hot stone massage and it was awesome!! Why the heck have I not ever had one done, although the concept still creeps me out.

Our whole vacation was super relaxing!! We participated in the resort activities, won a gold pendant with palm trees and obviously had our pics taken. That pretty much sums up our vacation.

There are a few other things that I will touch on in another post, but for now I will share 3 more pics! I haven't had much time to deal with any pictures yet, so I will do a picture post at another time.

One thing that was pretty amazing despite our travels home was seeing all my fur babies!!! Oh how much I missed them and based on our arrival home I think they missed us too!! Melts my heart to feel soo much love from pets!!

Back!

I am officially back!! Yikes!

Our trip was fantastic!! Probably one of the best trips we have had!!

I highly recommend the resort we stayed at: The Jewel Dunns River Resort and Spa. It was truly amazing - we were treated like gold!! The food was great and that is coming from a picky eater (not me...). The entertainment was awesome, just overall one of the best trips! Don't tell M, but he picked a good one!!

We had some pics taken while we were there: Here is a sneak peak!!

Weekend Update

This weekend was pretty good.

A lot of it was spent doing laundry... not soo fun.

Packing... - it really wasn't as fun as it sounds, but the fun part being in the fact that vacay is literally around the corner.

Watching TV because I need to get my PVR cleared up so shows can tape while I am gone. I am not even sure when I got soo far behind...

So it was pretty laid back, pretty much on the boring side, but I am okay with that because I will be swamped with work this week!!

I still have some last minute packing to do as well, like our carry ons, bathroom bags, etc.

I also made this scarf on the weekend!!! I am pretty much in love with it!!

Tomorrow evening I am going to my first Naturopath's appointment!! I am not too sure what to expect, but I have heard a lot of great things about them.

Vacation is BOOKED!!

I am excited to announce that my last minute vacation has been booked!! Sooo excited!! M won the battle we are headed to Jamaica!!! Negril was completely booked, aside from some crappy looking resorts, so we are headed to Ocho Rios! We will be staying at The Jewel Dunns River Resort and Spa:

I am pumped to say the least!!! Such a relief to have it booked!

I am also considering having pictures taken of us while we are there like I did in Jamaica! Might just become tradition!

I promised I would share my outfits from last weeks conference.

I will share one, because I didn't realize that my other one didn't turn out good, so here you go:

I think I will buy a new belt soon to spice it up and add some color!

I am in love with this picture of M and I right now:
It is crappy iphone quality, but none the less I still love it!
