Happy Birthday To My Husband

A HUGE Happy Birthday goes out to my loving husband!!

Here is a little something I have wrote for him:

Dear Mike,

Happy Birthday!! I am soo lucky to have you by my side to grow old with, best part being that I will always be younger! I couldn't imagine doing life without you, as you make my days soo happy. I love waking up next to you and falling asleep with a kiss on my forehead.

Most importantly I am soo happy to share your birthday celebrations with Noah! I love seeing you in your new role as a dad! You are the best and Noah is soo lucky to have such a fun, loving, caring Dad!

Thank you soo much for all that you do and know that it doesn't go unnoticed, even if sometimes I get to busy to let you know! Thank you for supporting our little family and working soo hard for us all.

Thank you for bringing out my best qualities and helping me deal with my worst! Thank you for being you!! I hope Noah grows up to be just like you!

Love Ashley

My Dearest Grandma

Last Monday night, we received the news that my Grandma had passed. Actually my sister and I were talking about her as she passed. I meant to share this last week instead of leaving everyone hanging, but my wardrobe needed massive help and quickly. Luckily my sister came through for me with a dress from her closet that I might have to keep in mine for her!  I ended up adding to this letter for the family and reading it as her eulogy, but this is my original letter.

Dear Grandma,

I would start off this letter telling you how missed you will be, but that is the obvious, so I will share a few things that we will miss about you!

I will never forget your strength. You had been sick for too long and just when they mention that you won't pull through, you would miracously pull through. Like hell someone was going to decide your fate, you were a fighter!

You were soo strong when Grandpa passed, you weren't afraid of your grief like most of us were. You taught me that it is okay to be mad when someone passes away, it isn't a bad thing, but a stage of grief. You showed us that there is a time to cry, a time to mourn and many times to laugh. You have shown us what it is to love endlessly in past or present. You have taught me that God doesn't do things to punish us. He didn't call upon you because we didn't need you or because you weren't loved, but rather because you were soo loved and you have lived a great life. You were part of His plan.  He only takes the best.

You kept this family going strong and I pray that we are able to continue this even though you are no longer with us in person, but always in our hearts. I would like to think many card games will continue to play at family functions. This will be a way for you to remain alive with us, more alive than ever if you know how this family plays cards.

Growing up you helped us find faith by taking us to church when we were in London. I could never understand why you would goto church so often, but then I learned that you had a family with God too and your heart was open to all of those in God's family, whether it was going to church just to pray for someone else. You were always soo generous and putting others first.

I will miss your whitty sense of humor and your crush on Mike. I'm glad you approved of the man I chose to marry and loved how you would often tell both Mike and I how lucky we were to have each other. It made us laugh when you would tell Mike that he needed to take you out on a date instead! I remember the day we did take you out and you thought we were joking, but you would never turn down a good meal and dessert was always a must!

I will miss your hugs. They were endless and I always felt your love through them as you gave us that extra squish at the end. I hope to never forget this part. I hope to be as proud of a parent as you were to all your children and grandchildren. Coming to various school functions to show your support, telling me how proud of me you were after watching me sing in the church choir as a child or perform in a school play in high school. Your love and support will never go unknown to not only me, but all your children and grandchildren.

I am sad that my son will not grow up knowing you like I did. But we will do our best in making sure he knows who you are. I am happy that he was at least able to see you before you passed away, although you were not well. I saw you lock eyes on him and can just imagine what you would have said to both me and Noah. I will be sure to let him know that he met one of his great-grandparents.

Grandma, most importantly, I hope you will always know how loved you are. I put this in present tense because even though you are up in heaven, you are still loved down here. You hold a place in each and every one of the hearts you touched. We will all carry you in our hearts. Heaven gained a new angel when they called upon you. I will pick another star in the sky and know that it is you shining down on us.

I hope you had the best reunion with Grandpa, because we all know how much you have missed him. I am happy you are together again because a love like that should never be separated. Now the two of you can hold hands once again and watch down on all of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Thank you Grandma for being a great role model. I want to love like you loved, live as long as you lived and embrace life just as you did. I want to be patient, just as you were and I would love to have some of your strength. I know the last few years have been rough for you, you had your good days and your bad days. It is your good days that only stand out to me in my mind. Thank you for being you.
To think that someone like you felt proud of us and loved us unconditionally should make us all feel more than just a little good. We can never forget that there is a part of you in each of us, something that you gave to us and asked nothing for in return because that is just who you were. How lucky we are to have had someone who made saying goodbye soo hard.
Mike and I will miss you.
Love

Ashley

Mix It Up Friday

Today I plan to do not 1, not 2, but 3 link ups because I have a bit to say for all of them!!

So we will start off with Friday Letters

Photobucket

Dear Lux: I am officially sharing your cat shaming photo on the blog now!! I will eventually find a way to stop you from opening doors. You may think you are clever... and so might all the other animals in the house, but really it is just annoying! You are lucky the dogs are just about ready to be left out and that we have been trying it slowly!

"I like to break the dogs out of their room - not once, but twice while no on is home! I was just helping them out"

Dear Binx: You bet your cat shaming pic is going up too!! I can't believe the trouble you and Lux can get into in just one day!! Please stop stealing things - not cool!! You have 50 million toys around the house - play with them!

Dear Husband: Please reconsider your thoughts on buying a new bathroom vanity! Seashell sinks are sooo not in!! I found this steal of a deal and it comes with everything! I am hoping once you see it you will fall in love with it like I did!! Technically you told me to buy it yesterday, but I just wanted to come to an agreement before doing so. Oh and remember I just bought you an ice cream maker... just sayin'

Dear Face: Thanks for finally clearing up! I actually had forgotten what my chin looked like. Not even exagerating! Now if we could just deal with this dry skin issue due to the constant weather change... why can't we just keep the positive temps?

High Five & Fab Friday:

The Everyday JoysPhotobucket

 - I went antiquing yesterday. Is that even a word?! The building it was in was super sketchy!! It was in a very old warehouse. I can honestly say I would have never gone in it alone!! Anyways...

I found a lot of great things:

a lot of pricey things

and quite a few good deals!! That I will be going back for!! Although the items I will be purchasing were not necessarily antique, but nonetheless a great deal!

- In case you missed the post where I announced our trip is booked!! We are heading to Jamaica!!! Very soon!

- The passports that I just went and got last week came in the mail a week early!!! We are officially set to travel!! That is the quickest turn around time I have seen! Although I look like a criminal in my picture..

- I plan to start packing this weekend!! Maybe this way I wont forget anything and hubby won't forget to put my shoes in the bag after he repacks the suitcase.

Happy Friday friends!!

Friday Letters

Photobucket

Dear Weather - I am soo happy you are not snowing or even super cold!! If you want to stay above 0 all winter long, I am A-OK with that! Thanks!

Dear Body - Thank you for just bouncing back weight wise - not strength wise! I was pleasantly surprised that I have officially lost 9 pounds now (that's an additional 1.5 pounds gone)!! This excites me tremendously!! I thought my pants had been fitting bigger and now I know why - no complaints!! Soo close to the magic 10!!! I also appreciate my skin clearing up!

Dear Lux: I love that you have finally found your own spot in bed and that it doesn't really involve me at all!! Plus I benefit from listening to you purr yourself to sleep because you are on your own pillow beside my head! Thanks for finally figuring it out!!

Dear Weekend: If I survive you, I will be pleased! This weekend is going to be crazy BUSY!! Tonight is PIE NIGHT!!! Yes a night dedicated to eating pie!! It is perfect, although it probably won't put me closer to losing that one more pound... haha!  Tomorrow M works in the morning - they are soo busy, but busy means business is good, so I will try not to complain! Then we are going to head out to hopefully finish our Christmas Shopping, although I am sure M has not even started on me yet! I am pretty sure more than 50% of my shopping has been done online!! Score!! Sunday we have a family gathering for Uncle Hudson, who passed away a couple of weeks ago.

Dear Hot Tub - it was soo nice to get re-acquainted last night!!! M and I enjoy your presence in our life!!

Dear Pinterest: Thanks for encouraging me to try new things, like crocheting a hat for Hannah - just need to add the eyes and beak and I have an owl hat!!!

I think M is finally beginning to appreciate you as well - we tried new potatoes last week!

I didn't get chance to blog yesterday because I was making pies and butter tarts with M's Mom!! And believe it or not I didn't get a picture either! I will try tonight!

Friday Letter's

Dear Followers and Friends:

I am sorry about the lack of blogging lately. Instead of carrying on about how bad of a blogger I am being and making promises I am not keeping, I figure I will just be upfront with you all. If I am being honest, I really just have too much going on and not enough time to put into blogging. Hopefully things will slow down soon and I get back on schedule. I have been busy with Scentsy and Photography, plus everyday life! So forgive me please. I will still try to stay caught up on every one's blogs.

Dear Sleep:

I am really not loving this relationship we have developed. I enjoy sleeping throughout the night. Last night was an improvement, but let's make sleeping through the whole night consistent please. It would be much appreciated!!

Dear Face:

I see we are having issues again. Let's just make an agreement to clear up. Some days you make me feel like leaving the house with a bag on my head! Just sayin'. No one wants to feel that way!

Dear Lily & Gracie:

I love how sweet and well-behaved you have been lately. I love we are beginning the stages of trusting you more on your own and so far you haven't failed us. I wouldn't mind not having to leave you in your room vs. free range!! Soo keep up the good work!!

Dear Binx:

I am sorry you were locked in a bedroom for 24 hours. But maybe, just maybe you shouldn't sneak into rooms you are not supposed to be in!! I did love how sucky you were when I discovered you.

Dear Lux:

I am totally on to your game. I know you think it would be awesome to be locked in the bedroom all day, but it's not going to happen, at least not on purpose. So in the meantime, I will catch you when you least expect it in the morning and shut you out before everyone else, it just saves me the headache after. I will no longer use your laser to try to get you out, because that is like rewarding you.

Dear New Blanket:

You are really coming along! However you are slightly distracting because I just want to get you finished, when I have other pressing matters on the go! I hope to find some time this weekend between photo editing, Halloween partying and hopefully photo taking (weather dependant) to work on you.

Dear M:

After finishing our 5 Year Anniversary Book last night and reminiscing through all the photos from the last 5 years, I was reminded how lucky I am to have you by my side to call my best friend. So thank you. I am still not sure how I got soo lucky, but I promise to not take my luck forgranted and just love you everyday.

One of the old gems I came across!!

Happy Weekend Friends!!

Friday Letters

Brrrr, it is getting chillier here in Ontario that is for sure!! I was really hoping for an Indian Summer! Sorry for the lack of blogging yesterday, time escaped me!  But fear not, I am back today with some letters:

Photobucket
Link up with Ashley

Dear Body: I know I did yoga for the first time yesterday, I really thought you love it! It was sooo relaxing, not overly difficult, especially when you compare it to Tuesday nights Zumba, but why on earth do you hurt more after yoga and not after zumba?! I get it... I stretched some parts that obviously feel neglected, but I am sorry! Can you feel better soon!? Granted it is a good feeling to know that something is working, but I get it now!

Dear Hair: We are getting bored with each other! We need to start doing new things! Co-operate and this plan might last longer than 1 day!

Dear Alison: Happy Birthday on Sunday!! I hope you have a fantastic weekend celebrating!!!

Dear Torrent: (Yes I am writing to my car). I really have not enjoyed you failing me this week! I'm hoping you will be back into business tonight because as much as I love driving the truck, I kinda miss you! Turned out to be nothing serious, just a battery and M will have you feeling back to normal hopefully today!!

Dear iPhone: I really appreciate you, just sayin'.

Dear M: I get that your work season is beginning to get really busy, but I need to be eating earlier on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I hate going to Zumba and Yoga and feeling full! So we will need to work something out okay?

Dear BarkBox: Lily and Gracie loved getting their mail yesterday!!! They also loved showing their Dad their new toy and bones!! So happy to have been able to purchase the monthly subscription, knowing that part of it goes to pet shelters and rescues!!

Lily really liked the Pretzel!!

Dear Lux: Please stop sleeping by my feet, I end up sleeping like a retard trying to accommodate you because I don't know any better in my sleep, but when I wake up and see that you are slowly and surely pushing me over have an entire quarter of our kind size bed... its not cool! You are a cat! And you don't need to grunt and groan when I end up soo uncomfortable that I actually wake up and realize it is all because of you and move you! Sneaky little fur friend!!

Happy Friday friends!! Enjoy your weekend!!

What Is A Girl To Do/Friday Letters

Sorry for the blogging interruption yesterday... it was raining. I know, you read that correctly - the drought has ended, not that we really had a drought, but the grass is getting greener. We haven't had rain like this - well I don't even remember the last time!

So you are probably thinking - okay Ashley it was just some rain, why the heck didn't you blog? Well you see, what else is a girl to do on a rainy day? SHOP!!! But not just shop, but head to the USA to shop!! Yup I went to Port Huron with my sister! I think I actually out shopped my sister for ONCE!

Wonder what I bought? You are in luck, I thought a head, knowing I would be blogging from the office I took some poor quality pics late last night!! Here we go:

Scarf, Belt, Strawberry Slicer!!

Tank from Vanity, T-Shirt and Cocoon Sweater

New Curtains for the Dining Room from Target - which let me down massively!! No maxi dresses!!

I bought 2 maxi skirts (striped and black one), 1 maxi dress but is not fancy, lace short sleeved cardi, and a tank.

This fabric (which I LOVE) will be seen later in a surprise DIY project!!! Can't wait!!

More fabric!!!

I am not sure how I ended up with this - it must have just jumped in the car... because I DO NOT need another bedding set! M thinks I may have a problem and for once I think he is right! I cannot fight the urge to buy new bedding!!

Now for some letters:
Photobucket

Dear Blogger: I really don't know what is going on with you - but you have really screwed up my last post on my photo wall and now I need to figure out how to fix it or I will have to rewrite it - thanks!

Dear M: Your birthday is coming up on Sunday!! Soo pumped!! Oh and sorry for buying another bed set - at least if something ever happened and we had to live on the streets, we will be warm - trendy and warm - or we could sell it for food!!! (Yes this is how I just justified another bedding purchase.) I also want to thank you for my lunch today!

(Our conversation went a little something like this: A: What are you gunna make me for lunch today? M: I don't know - we didn't do groceries. A: Okay but seriously what are you gunna make me? M: Well I decided that the money I make is going to buy you lunch today. A: Okay, where is it? M: In the bank card.)

Dear Rain: Nice to see you, thanks for making things green again! No offense though, I am ready for the sun again!

Dear Target: You really let me down!! I looked on your website and saw all this kick ass clearance and you had pretty much NONE! What is up with that? You did have the curtains, but no table cloths. M thanks you for not having the yellow and gray bedding set though, but I am still a bit bitter in all honesty!

Dear Hair: I hope you are having fun doing yourself today, try not to be too frizzy! Okay? Okay!

Dear Skin: Seriously let's call a truce and be friends! I am sick to death of this acne BS and now dry skin! I don't even know how to correct this, although coconut oil seems to a partial remedy for the dry skin at least!

Have a great weekend!

Friday Letters!

Photobucket

Dear Shutterfly: Please hurry up and ship my stuff please! I have receieved shipping notices, but no packages! I would like my photo book, card and 11 x 14. I was really hoping that I would have at least the 11 x 14 so I could put it in the frame and show everyone the photo wall, BUT that didn't happen.

Dear Christmas: I officially bought my first gift yesterday!!! Oh ya... in August!! I am getting ready for ya!

Dear Costco: Thank you for having my photos ready for pick up! They look fantastic on my wall!! I am pleased as pie!! I cannot wait to show everyone the wall!!

Dear Dollar Store: I absolutely LOVE my new cupcake cups!! How adorable are they!!! I guess I will be needing to make some cupcakes!!

Lux is totally photo bombing!

Dear Cottage: Cannot wait to come up tomorrow!! We have not been up all year!!! Big thanks for my Aunt for having us!!

Dear Lake/Boat: We cannot wait to come up there either! Sunday and Monday are dedicated to you!

Dear Weather on Sunday: You better be nice!! I hear you are threatening rain, not that I believe it will ever rain, but just be nice!

Dear Gracie and Lily: I hope you have a blast at the lake tomorrow with Grandma and Grandpa! I know they are looking forward to having you. They pick you up tonight and we will be there on Sunday! Be good!! I am gunna miss you girls like crazy though!

Dear Husband: I am not sure how long these letters have been like this, but I have just clued in now and fixed it. MVA stands for Motor Vehicle Accident... AVM is they way it goes! Sneaky bugger!!

A Special Letter

Photobucket

Today I am writing a special letter, to just one person instead of several today! Today I am writing to my husband!!

Dear Mike:
Tomorrow we celebrate 5 years of marriage!  5 whole years - where did the time go? How perfectly does it fall? A hot Saturday in July 5 years ago and now tomorrow!! To be honest, I would be willing to put my dress back on, dress you up in a tux with a pink vest, invite all our friends and family all back to the farm and do it all over again tomorrow!! There is just one thing missing and he can not be replaced - your Grandfather! I miss him. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts, but I know he is smiling down on us and would marry us again, but from heaven!

In 5 years we have been through soo much! We lived in a tiny little house and started our family there with 1 cat and 2 dogs, from there our family blossomed! Many people define family by the amount of children you have. We became a family as soon as we said I do, whether it be just you and I and all our crazy animals, it is perfect! Our kind of perfect!

We sold our first house, leaving many memories behind, but we have moved into our HOME. We have poured love, sweat and tears into this house and we are both so proud of all that we have accomplished! I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work.

We've been through soo much in the last couple of years and I am lucky enough to have you by my side! Our strength together can conquer more than I know. You have taught me soo much! You have given me the strength to stand when I have fallen. You have wiped my tears and put a smile on my face. You have found a positive in my negatives. You have held my hand and walked a journey with me, picking me up as I stumble, teaching me to dance in the rain. You have shown me that I can do things I never imagined. In sickness and in health, you have been by my side and have never failed me. You have made me smile when I cannot find a calm in the storm. You have shown me what strength is. You have taught me to look fear in the face and conquer it. There have been soo many opportunities where we could have just given up and we haven't, we push through, we find laughter in our sorrows, and we find strength in one another! We have fun despite the storms that pass our way.

I could not have found anyone better to have by my side! I will forever cherish our nightly argument of who loves who more and why. (P.s - I win!) My forehead lives for your kiss goodnight and good morning!

I "promise promise" to love you forever. I hope that I am able to give back to you what you have given to me! I hope that you feel as much love as I do. There are not words strong enough to explain my feelings. Without you, I would lost.

It has been a crazy 5 years, but I am ready and willing to take on another 80!

I love you,

Here is a video I have made to celebrate the past 5 years! The songs lyrics match my hearts.

Friday Letters

Photobucket

I have decided to link up with Ashley for some fun letters today!

Dear Husband: I am soo happy that you are finally feeling better! I am sorry I was unable to comfort you, but we all know I don't handle puking AT ALL! I am glad that you are soo understanding. I am also secretly happy that you are not sleeping on the couch anymore! I hate to admit but as much as I love sleeping in our king bed alone, I missed you! Oh and I am SUPER pumped for our trip!

Dear Hair: I am still loving you! I am looking forward to all the fun we are going to have. I really thought I would miss the length, but so far I am not! My head is soo much lighter. I also appreciate your co-operation so far!  (Picture was posted yesterday.. but here it is again for your viewing pleasure, since I posted at night...)

Dear Blackberry: You are really making me mad. Hubby and the family finally got the social networking plan, just in time for our trip and I can't seem to add them on BBM. This frustrates me to no end! And when I call my cell phone provider, they were absolutely no use and otld me reseach it on the blackberry website. USELESS!! Soo hurry up and work!

Dear Cats: I am sure after this weekend that you are about to clue in that we are leaving you. I know you will not be happy about this, however 3 cats and 2 dogs in 1 truck with 2 humans, just isn't happening! I'm sorry! But know that I will miss you!

Dear Weather: You have been awesome. I am not going to complain one bit! However I am happy the humidity has dropped. I am also looking forward to using my pool when we get back.

Happy weekend friends! Luckily we don't have much on the this weekend, just a "barn dance" and a bridal shower so far, although I am hoping to finish shooting a family photo shoot! Oh and a potential phone date with Miss Alison to plan our meet up!!

Friday Lettters

Wow, we finally made it to Friday!!

Thursday got away from me, I managed to accomplish quite a bit! The weather was beautiful. I got my car cleaned out, a much needed manicure, the dogs hair cut, Lily to her vet appointment, she only lost 1 pound!! I also made some Terribly Terrific Toffee snacks of my own that I had mentioned on Monday and Wednesday! You can find the recipe on my Pinterest in the Pins I Have Done Folder!! YUM and soo easy!! I also managed to sit outside for a bit!! Busy, yet productive day!!

So I am going to link up with Ashley for:
Photobucket
Dear Followers:
I just want to take a minute to thank you for all your support lately. It really is encouraging to read your positive notes when it feels like the world is coming crashing down. I also want to give a BIG shout out to all my new followers!!! I hope enjoy following along this crazy life of mine!

Dear Lily:
I am happy that yesterday's vet appointment went well and I am beginning to feel more comfortable with your treatment plan! Please continue to stay strong and know that I will fight this along your side with you. Just as you didn't give up when it would have been soo easy, I won't either! Just heard back from your vet and you are officially out of the woods!! Your blood work is not yet perfect, but it is not dangerously low!!! I am soo proud of you!!!

Dear Gracie:
I know that your nose is out of joint, but I also know that I am giving you extra attention as well and it seems as though you are ignoring that factor. Grandma really didn't enjoy the fact that you stole a loaf of bread out of her grocery bag. Acting out is not going to get you the good attention you want. I know you for some reason you did not like that thunderstorm last night and I enjoyed the extra cuddles, but I also hope this doesn't become a future plan for thunderstorms!

Dear Jazz:
You are really starting to make me mad... your attitude is just foul lately, hence your trip out to the garage yesterday! I asked Dad if you could stay out there and he said no, although I know you secretly liked it! I think we just needed some time apart.

Dear Hubby:
I am actually pretty excited that you have your first ball game tonight!! Go Team Smoke!!! I also hope that you don't get a fire call tonight because more than half of the team are firefighters!  I am also hoping you make some progress on your bathroom this weekend, although I know we will be busy!

Dear Brandon:
I am looking forward to seeing you on Sunday and witnessing your baptism! Although I am pretty sure God has had plans for you since you were conceived, I am happy to see you become part of the Catholic Society.

Happy Friday Friends!!! Have a safe and happy weekend!!

Friday Letters

Dear Shower Faucet: I really dislike you. I know our relationship was jaded from the moment we bought you because I judged your looks... but now you are just proving my point. I have had problem after problem with you since you were installed - to the point that I blamed my husband for your retardedness. Heck this morning I was grumpy because of you and gave the hubs some attitude because I couldn't get WARM water... it was either hot or cold. Don't mess with me in the mornings... I'm already grumpy because I had to get up. So if you could please get your act together, it would be much appreciated by both the hubs and I.

Dear Husband: I am sorry for being a grumpy sock with you this morning because of the STUPID shower faucet. I guess the melt down in the store for having to get the ugly ones, just proves my point that not only are they ugly, but they suck too! These faucets are causing unnecessary friction in our household... even the Jazz is miserable.. oh wait she always is! Either way, I love you like crazy, even if my shower sucked this morning and I slept like crap!

Dear Fabricland: Thanks for having a big sale for members. I really do appreciate the savings!! Although I bought waaay to much yesterday, I am looking forward to using it all, especially the rotary cutter and board... I might actually be able to cut a straight line, which will then make it easier to sew a straight line.. right?

Dear Purolator: Thanks so much for shipping my custom flooring caps in good time... although when items are super long, you should probably write a note that they will not fit in your car. Luckily I had M's truck yesterday and all was good, but I can't imagine how it would fit in my car. Also, thanks for sending my baby hats for photo props super quick that I had bought! I can't wait to use them!! I just love getting mail!!

Dear Gracie: I love how when you are soo excited you start to quiver and shake. Somehow throughout all the shaking and quivering, you still listen and I am truly amazed that your body is able to handle all that excitement!! I also love your new run run run and roll on repeat! It is adorable!! Oh and because it is national puppy day today I thought I would share one of your finest:

Dear Jazz: I don't know what has gotten into lately, but you are cranky unless you are in bed with me. I cannot stay in bed all day. So if you could cut back on the growling, hissing and meowing when someone walks around you, it would create a much happier environment. Thanks.

Dear Lap Top: I hope you are resting well today, because we have a hot date all weekend long. I have some photo editing to do from yesterday's photo shoot I did. So be prepared!!

Dear Crochet You Tube Videos: You are very deceiving. I watch you intently and think "Oh this is going to be soo easy... I will have a hat done in the 15 minutes you brag about..." until it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to tie a slip knot... I'm not ready to give up yet, but I will note that what I have created soo far looks nothing like a hat... I think there should be a video for crocheting for dummies... maybe there is, I was to ashamed to google it.

I also just want to share this song that I am loving:

Wild Ones by Flo Rida and Sia

Happy Friday!!

Friday Letters

Today I am going to link up with Ashley - ya we share a wicked awesome name - for Friday Letters!! Hope you enjoy!

Dear Gracie, I absolutely love it when you squish your face up when you are sleeping! You are adorable... trouble, yet adorable!! Although you have been very well-behaved so far this year, I have a fear that you are planning to destroy SOMETHING... or maybe you have and we just haven't found out about it yet! I also love how enthusiastic you get when you see snow falling! You definitely didn't get that idea from me! Love your Mama!

Dear M, I love how willing you are to just fly by the seat of your pants, especially when the world uproots around us! Thanks for being there to support me and my crazy family! Also thanks for leaving the light on for me when I came home at 2:30 in the morning on Thursday and thanks for getting up and tucking my feet in too (I didn't even ask). I love you like crazy and I hope you will never forget that even when you are 80! - Love your awesome wife!

Dear Baby Brandon, Welcome to the world little man! I was soo excited to meet you and I know your uncle Mike can't wait to meet you this weekend!! You have given us a scare by coming early, but your strength continues to amaze us all! Soo many people are waiting to meet you and I can't wait to see you go home!! I can't wait to hold your hand and eventually hold you when you are up for it! Yes, I am crazy one with the camera, you better get used to it! Hard to believe how much you continue to teach us all at such a young age! I think someone has BIG plans for you and you had to get an early start!! Can't wait to see you again! - Love Aunt Ashee

Dear Amy, I just want to let you know how proud I am of you! You have done amazing things for your new little boy. You have tackled each week, problem after problem with such strength and we all know it couldn't have been easy. I know you wanted to make it a few more weeks, but life had better plans. Luckily, it looks like Brandon has got your strength, so good job Mom! I know the next few weeks, hopefully not months, will be hard for you, but just take it all moment for moment and day by day and remember how blessed you truly are! - Love your baby sister!

Dear Jazzy - thanks for our cuddles and your dirty looks! It made my morning better! -  Love Mom

Dear Lux - thanks for our bathroom time, even though I know I get mad at you when you bust through the door - sometimes mama wants some privacy. But you just want to snuggle with the bath mat and purr up a storm. I don't know why you continue to head butt the bathtub - it might cause damage to yourself one day. I also love that you sit on the other side of shower curtain when I am showering, so you don't get wet, but love it when I spray the curtain! You really are too stinkin' cute! Oh and please catch that mouse! Thanks! - Love your Mama!

Dear Binx - thanks for being a secretive lover cat! I know you only want to be loved on when YOU want it, so it makes it all that more special! Thanks! - Love Mom!

Dear Lily - You are too beautiful for words! I love your sweet puppy nuzzles and cuddles! I also love it when you pretend to chase the cats! - Love Mom

I think that is enough letters for today!! Oh wait I forgot one!

Dear Winner Of My Give Away - Thanks soo much for participating! I really hope you enjoy these wire tags! The winner is Meg from Henning Love!!! Congrats!!! I will be contacting you shortly!!

Happy Friday!!
