Thursday Things

As you can see, things are looking a little different around here, as I have been working on a bit of a blog design overhaul! It's a work in progress as you can see and I know I will have some updated pics taken in the next coming weeks with the baby arriving, so I am waiting to update my header and about me section! Its been almost 2 years since I have changed things up on this little blog of mine, so a fresh look was much needed!

Today I have what should be my last OB appointment before my C-section next week! You will have to bear with me, I am trying to get some posts scheduled for next week, but no promises. I am not too sure how long it will take me to get back into the swing of things post baby, but I know it is something I will strive to do, as I love being able to look back on our life documented!

Yesterday was a challenge day for Noah, which I fully anticipated this week, as there is always one after a long weekend. I'm really going to have to do some soul searching for patience though once this new baby is thrown into the mix, because man when those listening ears going missing, it sure is challenging.

My new lamps... so glad I ended up with them! They really do work great in our bedroom and I have decided to stop searching for a new dining room lamp and will just use the old one from our bedroom! As you can see via the picture, we have some wall touch ups to do, but in all honesty if I ever get around to getting my new headboard made, it would cover those marks right up, or I will end up painting the whole room, which is something else I am considering! Shhh... don't tell Mike!

Speaking of DIY projects, my Dad came over last night to help me out with Noah's wood plaques for his room. He is going to wood burn a few pieces for me! Then I can finally get his bedroom reveal up and posted! Clearly Noah enjoyed his visit. He is such a Grandpa's boy with both Grandpas!!

Tuesday night we had a little impromptu date night at the pub here in the village! It was wing night, so we figured it would be busy, turns out it wasn't and Noah totally could have joined us, but we all know he had fun with Grandma and Grandpa for a few hours! Not to mention I took him a bit early and let him drive his new (to us) tractor.

Not much else to report for today! It's a rainy day, but I will take it over snow!!

What I Am Loving!!

Let me start off by saying that I am loving the weather!! Finally I think spring might actually be here!!

I am loving and hating that my cats caught a mouse in the house... Love that they caught it, but hate that there was a mouse in my house! We haven't had any for a long time! I'm happy M was home to deal with it! 

I love that yesterday both Noah and I stayed in our jammies all day long! Today I will get dressed!! Noah will most likely stay in his sleeper because he is in between newborn clothes and 0-3 months! Therefore he has no pants that fit... Unless they don't have feet and I don't feel like 50 million sock/slipper changes at diaper change time. The sleepers win right now, even if only 5 fit good right now. The one above is too big still, but we are over it! Old navy fits best right now! 

I am loving the smiles this little man is coming up with these days! I need to video tape these because the noises he makes are just as good as the faces!! Think big giggles and squeals! 

I love that my new perfume has come in today and I can't wait to go grab it from the post office!! 

I am loving playing around with my new blog design as some of you may have noticed!! Just working on the about me section next, which is taking a bit more time than I care to admit to! 

I am loving my little mans new wardrobe, however I am still not enjoying attempting to organize it!! He will be one trendy little man after seeing all the gifts he has received!! Which means I have a second and probably third batch of thank yous to get done!

Wow, it is Friday - this week just zoomed on by!! I feel like I haven't had a chance to catch up on the happenings of this week!

Yesterday I was busy moving my Mom. My back is now killing me, not sure what happened, but it hurts! I have a love on for my heat pack now!!

I have been a lucky girl this week!! I have won 2 awesome give aways! The 2nd Give Away I won was from Alison!! A gift that she has actually already given me, but now I have one to pass on to someone else! Alison gave me my necklace when we met back in July! I am soo entirely grateful!! It is honestly one of my favorite necklaces for soo many reasons and I am actually wearing it today. I actually wear it most days! It is from The Hudson Foundation. They are a non-profit organization that supports those struggling with infertility. Such an amazing cause!!!

They have a store where you can purchase your own hope necklace, as well as other items and all proceeds go directly to The Hudson Foundation. Amazing!! What a great way to give Hope to anyone who needs it, as well as support this amazing cause! Thank you Alison!!!

My crocheting is getting better!! I am past the half way point I think!!

I am happy to announce that as horrible as these treats may be, they were both gone by the time I got home. Soo when M came home, he had to try giving it to them himself, because the picture made him laugh soo hard and we got the same reaction. Can you guess which one ended up eating them?

Gracie... what a trooper!! Lily was having no part of it!! hahaha!

I'll be honest I am not really looking forward to finish moving my Mom, but c'est la vie!! M also agreed to play in an old fashioned baseball game on Sunday. No gloves or bats... not to sure how the game is player, but it should be entertaining and it is on London, where I will be anyways!!

1. I am favoring my new blog design, it was another DIY adventure! But to be honest, I like my new font better, but I miss my old background! I am going to try to keep this one until next week! We will see!!

2. I also did my sister's blog design and that my friends needed to be done! I am kind of jealous because I love her background!!

3. I am totally not the type to rush summer along, but the humidity has been gone and this weekend is supposed to be in the low twenties (Celsius) and it reminds me of fall! And then I look on Pinterest and it's all pumpkin recipes, sweaters and boots! I love fall!! But summer can still take it's time.

5. I love that we won our ball game on Wednesday!!! I also love that we have found THE patio set! We have a conversational set, but do not have a dining set, the price is perfect and I love the look! Hopefully we can get one tomorrow and that they are not sold out!! I will be saving over 50% yo!

Leaking Some Love on Wednesday

You may have noticed a few changes that happened yesterday on the ole' blog! I have finally updated my blog buttons!! Feel free to grab one!!! I also changed my picture. I have updated Facebook too, so be sure to pop on by and "like" the page! I even updated Twitter, so feel free to follow along on there too!!

I am loving several things this week as per usual, but this week the weather has been great.

Our co-ed lob ball team is starting up next Wednesday! The team almost flopped, but we have re-vamped it a bit and we are hoping for a great season!!

M has ball here in the village on Friday!!! I love home games!!

M and I have officially decided that we are going to drive out west this summer!! We still need to figure out our route, but we plan on going up through Canada and then home through the states, now that I realized how border crossing with dogs works. So if anyone has any tips, we would love to here them, as well as any must-see spots!!

Lily is still continuing to progress, we have started mixing kibble in her wet food and she is eating regular milk-bones now too!! I took the dogs for a walk last night and we made it even further last night!! We are not quite up to our regular route, but in due time!! She continues to amaze me daily with her spunk and attitude. She will always be a constant reminder of how precious life really is!

I love my husband!!

I am looking forward to the Bachlorette starting up!!!

Big congrats goes out to J & S, little N and now a baby sister Lauren!!! Glad everything went well and everyone is settling nicely into their new roles!!

This past week has just flown on by!! It has a been a busy, yet productive week!

1. I am loving all the changes made to our house!! It looks sooo different, yet soo good!! Although we are stuck at the slow stage of the reno (mudding the walls), we should have most of the project finished by Sunday we hope!! Here is where we are at yesterday morning:

See that open space at the bottom of the new wall? It is for shoes!!! Sneaky sneaky!! We have also decided to paint the railings white!!

2. I am loving that my house will be going back to normal soon!! I am also looking forward to Spring cleaning like crazy after this reno is done!!

3. I have been reading on several blogs lately about how the blog world has changed in a negative way. I suppose I refuse to get caught up in it all, but agree that people are beginning to make this a popularity contest. I am not a blogger that will follow you just because you follow me - I follow the blogs that I have interest in. When I join sites like follow me Friday - it is because I enjoy finding new blogs and I enjoy meeting new people. I love the new followers I gain and hope that they are following for thr right reasons. I love all of my followers, and do not expect a comment everyday, but I am going to say that a large chunk of my followers never comment - probably because they don't read my blog. I know just how hard it is to comment on every blog every day and I'll be the first to admit that I don't. My blog is about me and not necessarily do I have something exciting happening all the time on here, but I am not about to make up content to keep my readers and I wouldn't expect it from the blogs I read either. This may seem like a rant, but it is important and as my readers - who actually read - HIGH FIVE!!

4. My nephew is continuing to do awesome!! He is still tube-free and weighs over 6 pounds now!! Here is a pic I am stealing from my sister:

5. I just want to give my last HIGH FIVE to my husband for all of his hard work on the reno lately!! I always call him "not so handy husband" when it comes to indoor renos. But I think I can officially call him handy!!! He continues to impress me with his skills and admits to being slow at the project, but he doesn't do it everyday. So now he can be handy at both indoor and outdoor projects!! I can also say that my cooking is no longer as novice. I have been cooking a lot lately!!

Typical Wednesday

I am loving my sweet puppies!! Last night I gave them both pedicures and then decided to trim, the hair between thier paws, as they have been having issues walking on the floors lately. Gracie would just lay there and take all the love and touching she could, with Lily, the girl hates being on her back, so M and I had to wrestle her down and pin her - no dogs were injured, she finally relaxed enough. Now they are both walking a lot better on the floors.

I loved Parenthood last night!!!

I am loving my sweet hubby, as usual, but I know he has been working harder than usual this year, as they are still working hard in the fields. It is some crazy weather we are getting, as they are usually shut down and in the shop doing maintenance on the machines, which is easier.

I am loving our new floors that will be installed by next week! I will be doing a post explaining what is going down with the reno plans! I am excited to tear down a wall and have new floors! I am also excited about a new shower stall, even if it is in M's bathroom!

I am loving the new blogs I have found recently!! I am also loving my new followers!! I also wanted to mention that I am now able to do a sponsor swap with my new button!! Message me if you are interested!!

Drink Mix Should Not Stain/New Blog Reveal

Soo I skipped blogging yesterday because it was Family Day here in Ontario!! Yep a stat holiday to spent with family. M and I had a great day together!! However, you may notice a few changes around the blog today! I updated it a bit, with a new layout, a new header, a button, sponsors will be welcome soon, etc. I hope you like the changes!!

I had quite the weekend, in case the title didn't express that... Friday night M and I went to the hall to set up tables and then had a quiet night, as we knew the next one would be busy. Saturday morning I had big plans, that never ended up happening - you know that sewing that needed to be done or the cookies I wanted to bake. Instead I showered, decorated the hall with K, came home, curled my hair, got dressed (in 2 of my favorite shirts! - this is relevant later) and headed over to K's and curled her hair and then it was time to head to the Firefighters Wing Sizzler!

The night was a hit and we had a great turn out!! I'm pretty sure this will be an annual thing!

I had decided that I would drink that night, which I had not done in like 3 months! I had just finished filling my cup at the mix table, went to turn around and some BIG guy bumped into me... the drink splashed up in my face, in my hair and all down my favorite WHITE shirt. I was drinking cranberry and vodka... FML! And then the spilling continued for the rest of the night, mostly by others bumping into me and then me becoming careless aka tipsy. By the end of the night my shirts had orange juice and cranberry juice stains, but the good thing is, my hair stayed curled. I don't think I have danced in over a year! This next statement should sum up my night - by the end of the night I was drinking BEER! I hate beer! Fear not no pictures were taken because my camera had no memory card! Opps! It's probably for the best!

But I miraculously woke up without a hangover!! I went to the hall and took down the decorations, dropped them off and home I went to do my sewing!! I had an hour before the shower! I ended up making a burp cloth and soother holder - however I didn't take a picture - I was pressed for time! S's shower was great!!

As soon as I got home from the shower, we headed to Toronto for dinner at the Keg. On the way home I realized I was still buzzing, as the lines on the 401 were intertwining.

Monday, M and I relaxed most of the day, did some laundry, I made my cookies - which the bottoms ended up burning because M put vegtable oil on pans to grease them - note to anyone - it doesn't work the same when baking! I did manage to get the stains out of my shirts!! They should make drink mix that does not stain clothes!! Oh and Brandon is now up to 5 pounds and 2 ounces!! Holy this boy can eat!! He is progressing wonderfully and I feel he will be home before we know it!!

Now on to The Bachelor... all I need to say is that Ben is sooo clueless about Courtney! He should end up Lindzi!!! I can see why Kacie went home, I think they would have been better as friends! But she was devastated, as to be expected. Courtney's wedding idea was retarded, I cannot stand the way she talks or the scrunched up faces she makes - it is NOT cute! I like Nikki too, but I am trying not to get too attached, because I still see him picking Courtney in the end, but have liked Linzi since the start! I think Ben learned a lot more about the girls and it was neat to see them plan thier own semi-realistic dates - excluding Courtney!
