A Day In The Life of Noah {V1}

Here is our first "A Day In The Life Of Noah" post that we documented yesterday May 5th 2015 and granted our day didn't start off typical, it's a glimpse of what goes on!

This morning Mike's alarm woke up the whole house at 5:45 AM. He went to shut it off quick, hit the table which scared the cat, which aided in waking up Noah, it was like a domino effect!

Mike tried to get him back to sleep, but that didn't work, so he was up at 6:25 AM!

Noah hung out with Daddy, gave him his morning bottle and played until I had to get up at 6:50 AM! Thankfully Daddy ended up do the daily vacuum in the great room, so I didn't have to worry about it!

Noah was super grumpy when M left at 7 AM, so I let him play his Ocean game on the iPad for 10 minutes while he calmed down!

But he was pretty much a write for the first half hour:

Around 7:30 he started to cheer up a bit! Amazing what puppy snuggles can go for ya:

It's 7:50 and Noah has finally realized he hasn't checked his mail! His little house has a mail box and we cram different things into it every night after he goes to bed and he is always surprised to see what is in it and it encourages him to play with different things!  He of course has to show his partner in crime!  These two play together all day until Noah tries to drive over her with his vacuum or lawnmower.

At 8:30 we decide to have breakfast!

Fresh blueberries and raspberries, pears that I made and froze and some banana peach granola bar! No complaints:

We followed that up with a few Cheerios and some juice!

8:45AM - we decide to get Noah dressed before his nap because we have library after his nap and it's nice enough to walk, so we will need the extra time to do that! Ready for the day:

At 9:10 I took Noah up for his nap and rocked him to sleep - he was out by 9:15. I came downstairs and washed the floors quickly before hopping into the shower and getting myself ready:

10:27 Noah wakes up! Guess we aren't walking to songs and stories at the library! So we drive and are only 10 minutes late!

Today there wasn't many kids, so I let him try the craft and then of course it was playtime after the songs and stories!

11:36 AM: We made it home just in time to see that S was already there with Maeve! J showed up shortly with Chloe! We had a nice little lunch date including Kale salad from Costco - have you tried this? Soo good and soo healthy! We also had pizza bites and cupcakes! Yum! We also sported a little day drinking with Somersby that we threw some fruit in too!

Noah had lunch around noon which was cheese, crackers, raspberries, yogurt and a cookie!

S left around 1:15PM and I took Noah up to bed shortly after and he was asleep by 1:25! J and I hung out, took many pics of sweet baby Chloe:

Look at her smiling about the little Parker And Posie shoes I got her! My goto baby gift!!

2:30 Noah is awake and J is heading out!  Noah woke up in a great mood!! So we headed straight outside! We tried our the swing in the back yard!

Yup no complaints!! Gracie was jealous!

While Lily laid under Noah in the swing!

3:30 we decided to walk over to get the mail! Old Navy order!! Two dresses to keep, a shirt to return and a shirt to keep for Noah! I let Noah take his car to the post office which was great fun for him, but a challenge for me since the wheel for easy steering was off!

We came in for a snack of more berries and water. Grandma popped in to see Noah around 4:30 and then we headed back outside to play for a bit longer before coming in for dinner around 5:20 PM!

5:25 PM - fed Noah dinner which was pizza left overs and a veggie pack. Yup totally wanted to change it up from the veggies I have made that are frozen.

After Noah finished dinner we played for a bit longer until Daddy called to say he was leaving the field so it was time to go into town and grab dinner! I forgot it was McHappy Day, so we had to support this amazing cause, as Ronald McDonald has been called home by my sisters family as well as many others I know! You may recall I've talked about making dinner for the house before or making donations!

The line up was long, but worth the wait! We also got ice cream! Noahs first McDonalds ice cream:

We got home at 7 PM, M ate his dinner (I ate mine on the road) and Noah played a bit before starting our bedtime routine!

Noah and M had their shower/bath by 7:30, Noah got ready for bed and enjoyed his bottle and snuggles afterwards!

Noah went to bed just after 8!

M finished tiding up the kitchen, we picked up the toys that Noah failed to pick up - he's getting so much better at this!

Then it was time for some R&R! Well I actually beaded strands for my sisters Etsy shop while getting caught up on Game Of Homes and then I watched Chicago PD and it was bedtime at 11 PM. It dawned on me as we crawled into bed that we forgot to walk the dogs!

That was a full busy day! It was kind of fun documenting our day, so I will likely try it again!!

Loves On Wednesday

A while has gone by since I have shared some of the things I am loving, aside from my sweet little family, but of course they will be included too!!

I am loving that we are finally getting some summer weather! I have felt soo ripped off this summer, but you won't find me complaining that September has actually been HOT so far!! It is welcomed with open arms!!

I am loving these outfits:
SO many cute outfit ideas! All my style!
I know they are clearly for fall weather... but I have to prepare myself! Hopefully I will have some fall clothes that fit!

I am loving the photo book that I ordered! Despite the issues I had with the company, the frustration was worth it and Photobook Canada actually came through for me! This is such a memorable keepsake that I will hold dear to my heart!!

I also just made a book of my maternity pics from My Publusher... hopefully they make a good product! I wasn't a fan of their software, that much I know!

I am secretly (not so much of a secret now) happy that the ball season is finished after this weekend!! Don't get me wrong, I love watching ball, I love our team, but I do look forward to freeing up our Friday nights, not that we have that much going on, but September is crazy busy for us!!

We have two weddings back to back and I am loving these pieces from my sister's etsy shop and hoping she will manage to get them done in time for me:

Ivory pearl braided cuff, ivory pearl bracelet, bridesmaids bracelet, ivory bracelet, pearl bracelet, statement bracelet, elegant bracelet

Braided pale pink ivory and gold bib necklace, braided beaded bib necklace, pale pink necklace, pink bridesmaids, gold bridesmaids, necklace

Black and silver multi-strand bracelet, black beaded bracelet, silver and black seed bead bracelet, black bridesmaids, boho bracelet,

And I have decided on the second dress yet, or even the first one... but I like designs and know she will do colors to match perfectly!!

But I am thinking I love this hair do for at least one of them:
Messy French Twist, perfect for brides! #weddinghair

I am loving this headboard and I am pretty sure that we have some barn boards from the farm that I know could make this beauty:
.

Since we have decided we like the room the best the way we have it and will not be changing it around anymore!

I am loving this little boy... he is the apple of my eye. I can't get over the changes he makes every single day, right in front of me!!

I am not loving my allergies, but this did make me laugh!! It is soo true!
Hahaha

I am also pretty sure I have decided on a color scheme for the new bathroom - finally!
I do not like the colour choice, but the idea of the coordinates only being on display this is great - either for a linen closet or a bathroom or even a craft room office

Minus the white towels because let's be realistic - my husband works in mud and I have a son! haha!

And we will finish this post off with a quote that is holding true to me right now:
Whatever is worrying you right now, forget about it. Take a deep breath, and trust in God.

Calgary Day 3

On our 3rd day in Calgary I was finally able to meet Nicole and her kiddos! Alison and Delainey (and Cruz) were able to come along as well and we took a nice long walk in (and out of) Confederation Park!!

(stole this one from Alison)

It was soo great to meet Nicole and her daughter Audrey and son Leo. We had been chatting back and forth for so long and had made another great friendship miles away from each other. Our boys are soo close in age and therefore Nicole has been a great support and someone I can text quickly as things come up, knowing that she most likely just dealt with the same thing!

We stopped in the park to feed the babies and of course snap a few (or a lot) of pictures!!

After we finished our walk, M, Noah and I drove back to hotel after grabbing a quick lunch, had yet another nap and then got ready to go to Nicole's for the "blogger meet up". Nicole was nice enough to host us all at her house! M decided he didn't want to be the only man at our dinner so he went and saw a movie he had been wanting to see after dropping me and Noah off!

Noah and I were able to meet Lindsey and her daughter Avery, as well as Leigh. Rachel unfortunately wasn't able to make it, as something came up last minute with her son. Of course Nicole was there along with Alison and Delainey.

I wanted to get the girls a little something, so I had my sister make these bracelets, one for each of the girls:
White dainty heart bracelet, white bracelet, dainty heart bracelet, tiny heart bracelet, silver heart bracelet, friendship bracelet

Be sure to check out her shop on etsy: EmmieMaeBoutique

We did potluck and I brought ice cream cake and moscato! Dinner was great and the company was even better! It was soo great to finally meet some of the girls that I communicate with weekly, if not daily with some of them! A great group of ladies, I wish I lived closer too!! Here we all are:

M came to pick me up after everyone had headed home and Nicole was nice enough to invite him to have the leftovers from our dinner, which was a great break for M to have some homemade food as well. Crazy how much you miss home cook meals when you are eating out all the time! We had a great visit with Nicole's kids and hubby.Nicole and I drank wine, Noah enjoyed having access to a swing and I read lots of books to Audrey, who just kept bringing handfuls of books for me to read!! Such a cutie!!

We headed back to the hotel and headed right to bed! This time change was soo hard on us, but it probably had something to do with getting up at 5 AM everyday!!

What a Week!!

Thank God it is Friday!! This week has been one I am glad to see over, not that anything dramatic happened, it was just long!!! Too looong!

Monday was a photo shoot that I was wrapping up for a corporate company, but the staff didn't show up on time, so I was stuck waiting. I was home by 7 PM - shoot was for 3 PM with only 4 people... that should tell you how it went. I'd love to say I was snapping pics the whole time, but that was not the case either. Enough said.

Tuesday I had appointments to take my Mom to and they were long, one doctor didn't show up for the first appointment, but then ended up calling us and meeting us after her other appointment, equaling to another really long day! I left the house at 11 AM and was home by 7 PM. M keeps joking that I am working part-time.

Wednesday I vowed to stay home, and did just that, although I did a ton of housework, as well as some baby crafting!

Thursday I woke up to find that Jazz had peed on the dogs bed. Her first time since being medicated. I was not a happy camper. We had just started her weaning off the medication and was down to every other day. Turns out she will be taking them everyday for life... I called the vet and then went and picked up more of her pills. Jazz has been heavy on my heart lately.

Thursday evening, M attempted to help me with pinning my blanket together to sew, and we were having issues, because when I pre-washed the fabric it must have shrunk to a weird size. We were both super frustrated!

Today, my nose is crazy from nose bleeds to being super sensitive to smells. My scentsy smell that I usually like smells like a cleaner, the cat and dog food is just horrible... the list goes on. It is also snowing again today, mixed with ice pellets, luckily it isn't sticking around. The good news is I went grocery shopping and they had cheesies in stock! They also had these super cute blankets for the baby! I had wanted them since we found out we were expecting! I grabbed the last one on the rack!

Other good news is that we have picked a winner from the give away we were doing for my sister's jewelry. The winner is fellow bump buddy, due just a few weeks before me: Hilary!!! Congrats!!!

This weekend M is in training again for the fire course! Last one! I have a little guys first birthday party to go to and photos to get edited.

Have a great weekend!!!
