Friday Things

Today come 6 PM marks family vacation mode over in our household! Not that a thing is packed or ready to go, but we are heading out on vacation next week!! So that means things will be quieter around these parts, but I'm hoping to get up a few scheduled posts about some of the current events that have taken place around these parts.

Where are we going? Florida! My Dad and his girlfriend offered to put us up for a week, so we decided we would take them up on it! Of course M would have preferred the Caribean, but being pregnant in my 3rd trimester, I think this will work out better, not to mention I am at least familiar with Florida and we haven't been for quite a few years. Our last family trip as 3!

On a heavier note, last Friday was Lily's birthday. I thought that maybe if I didn't acknowledge the fact that it wouldn't make my heartache as much as it does. Clearly I was wrong and it just comes down to the fact that despite 5 months passing, I miss her just as much as I did at that point. The holidays were harder and of course her birthday was harder.

I'm in the process of making a 365 day photo book for Noah and I tear up when I come across a photo of Noah and Lily. I know he won't remember her and doesn't even seem to remember her now and that is soo hard, good for him to not be grieving like I am still, but you don't get good dogs like her all the time. She really was special.

Speaking of pets, I was able to visit Felix at his new forever home this past week. I know I haven't mentioned much about this and I promise a post coming - hopefully next week. But needless to say my aunt, uncle and cousins love him and he has settled right in. He didn't shy away from me at all and I was able to get in another snuggle! I'm glad he is with a family I know and trust, otherwise I'm not sure he would have went anywhere. It was a hard choice to make to adopt him out, but probably the best for him and our family.

All of our grow-up purchases that we have had to make this month are in!! We had to buy a new toaster, as ours is starting to burn stuff on the low setting, we needed a new panini press because ours began to smell like burning appliance when we used it and we decided we would finally get new plates, as these ones are just too heavy and take up too much room:

I struggled finding just what we wanted, but in the end it all paid off and we found just what needed!! Here are our new plates:

Now we just need to get new glasses! Crazy we haven't had to replace any of this stuff for 8.5 years! I managed to sell our old plates and have a lady picking those up today!

What else do I have to share today? I'm really not to sure! I'm dreading packing and trying on clothes all over again and half happy that Florida weather isn't super hot and I can hopefully get away with the maternity clothes I have with the addition of some maxi dresses or skirts! Let's just say I will be packing lightly and clothes will be reworn on this trip!

4Fold Threads Review

Today I want to share yet another awesome little Canadian shop with you all!

This shop makes the cutest slouchies and now offers the all for 1 nursing cover/car seat cover/infinity scarf and cart cover.

I saw this hat and just knew the newest little babe coming soon would need this, either boy or girl.

After chatting with the shop owner, Liat was kind enough to send along not just one extra hat to review, but two with my order! I was pleasantly surprised to find the three hats in the mail soo quickly after chatting:
Clearly I have a monochrome theme going on but I love it!! The first two hats are for the baby and the striped hat is for Noah!

Liat and I shared quite a few conversations about our lives, our kids, etc. But I did ask her to write a little biography of herself so you could all get to know her as well!! Here is what Liat had to say:

"I have been a middle school teacher for 8 years in Lethbridge and coaching competitive cheerleading for 9 years (bringing the sport back to our city when it was lost 20 years prior). I brought all my kids to practice each time and then I found out I was pregnant with number 4 and I knew I needed to take a step back. I sadly lost that baby in February and was devastated. So when I found out I was pregnant again I took more me time to make sure all would be ok.

On leave early from the district, I started sewing to make slouchies for the baby coming in December. I had never touched a sewing machine in my life. And this little passion for slouchies for my kiddos turned into what I have now just a short 3 months later. It's been a crazy little whirlwind for this little shop but I love it. With my newest baby, Kai, I baby-wear a lot and sew at the same time. It's pretty great!"

You can find her shop on facebook HERE and Instagram is 4FOLDTHREADS
Now as for our mini photo shoot, we had a bit of a drama king going on and we ended up having to bribe him with smarties. I think he got about 6 for these photos, but we got the job done!

He won on this one with no hat! But can someone please tell me a month from the day this pic was taken he will be 2!!?? 23 months... where the hell did time go?

Trouble... you know that hat is coming off!

So we got him all dressed up and out he went to play!

Be sure to check out 4FOLD Threads. Such a fun, up and coming shop with the latest trends and fabrics. The prices of the products sold are soo reasonable. I was able to ensure that Noah's hat would fit, since he has a big head and although the hat is a bit big on him, it will fit him longer.

Liat was amazing to work with and the hats were here in no time! I can't wait to see the two hats on the baby when s/he gets here!!

Thanks again Liat, it was amazing working with you and getting to know you!

29 Weeks with Baby V2

 How Far Along:
29 weeks

Size Of Baby?

Maternity Clothes?
Can I just say that trying on clothes - formal and swimsuits to be exact is really no fun at this stage in pregnancy and is very miserating. I managed to sneak in a few non-maternity items this week for date nights:

Stretch Marks?
Nope, trying to remember to put oil on at least once a week!

Gender?
We will find out in April!!

Name?
We will share in April, our names are pretty much set, I did add in one more girl name that M is in love with, but I'm on the fence!

Sleep?
That damn wisdom tooth couldn't come out sooner!! Two nights this week with migraine headaches was not fun! We had a busy week that did not include many naps! Since my surgery though, sleep hasn't been too bad, aside from a sick snoring husband keeping me up every hour - but he slept like a baby.

Cravings/Aversions?
Still loving chocolate milk shakes and cauliflower. I would really like some homemade chocolate chip cookies! I am not loving the post dental surgery soft food diet - it is really not filling and I am not a soup fan!

Movement?
Seems slower this week, but I think that is because I have had soo much on the go and distracted with my mouth.

Weight Gain:
20 pounds.

Feeling?
Where do I start? Feeling good pregnancy wise. My tooth came out Thursday, which was a horror show in the making... The dentist ended up hitting my gag reflex with her needle, while I had a jaw block in and I ended up vomiting all over. It was bad. Like really bad. After that subsided, she did manage to get my tooth out, however I could feel a lot of it, but really couldn't handle another another needle or risk vomiting again. But now that it is out, I do feel much better, just praying I don't end up with a dry socket.

What I Miss?
Um... It was a rough week and a glass of wine would have been nice, or pain meds that would help with the migraines. But that is all done and over with now!

Items Bought for Baby:

Another pair of baby shoes came in the mail this week from Parker and Posie. Love her little flash sales she has been doing!!

What the doctor had to say?
I see him next week. Aside from that I just saw the dentist, who did warn me that I am at a higher risk for developing the dry socket because of my pregnancy hormones and location of the wisdom tooth. I definitely don't seen much of a blood clot on the tooth, so I am a bit concerned, but it doesn't hurt so far!

Highlights:
A few date nights with hubby, as well as some fun family time.
Swimming with Noah.
Staycation.
Having my wisdom tooth pulled

Belly Button?
In, but I will say it is getting shallower!

Bump Pic:
Selfie style - all dressed up!

(Excuse the make-up free pic, as I was still in recovery mode from my wisdom tooth removal)

Looking Forward to:
Vacation. It is booked! Now I just have to try on clothes, which is not going to be fun as mentioned above.

Weekend Rewind

Hello Monday!! So apparently blogger was awesome enough to delete all the words with this post... So I am writing this for the second time this morning, which just tops off our morning around here.

Our weekend was filled with fun and family! Saturday morning started off with Mr. Noah actually having a say in his outfit for the day. Apparently the shirt I picked out was not acceptable in his eyes and he refused to put his pants on until that shirt was off. When I gave him some other options for shirts he didn't want those either and ended up picking out his own shirt! Apparently he has his own sense of style. M and I were laughing so hard, which probably didn't help matters.

We headed to the farm to celebrate Noah's 2nd birthday with Grandma and Grandpa a few weeks early since they are away on his actual birthday. So we gave him our group gift out in the shop. We had it covered with a sheet. He wasn't too sure at first, but it didn't take him long to climb in! He loves that the radio turns on and off and the mirrors are adjustable. He also had to try the tailgate too and climb back there!

Look at that smile!!! It lights up my whole world!!

He slowly made his way to the drivers side.

And by the end of the morning, he was driving by himself, however he needs to grow just a little bit more in length and work on his steering, but it will come with time and practice!!

Yes, we did buy a used one in the summer, and that one will be coming to the farm for him to ride around on and this one will be coming to our house.

We enjoyed a nice simple lunch with cupcakes for dessert. Crazy how excited he is for cake now. We played for a bit before coming home for nap time, which I also partook in.

After nap time we headed to my sisters for Brandon's birthday dinner. Two birthday celebrations in one day! He was in busy boy! Today is Brandon's actual birthday! 4 years... Where does time go??

After dinner and cake we headed to Walmart and then home, so needless to say Noah went to bed late!

Sunday morning he was up by 7 AM, luckily I was able to sleep in until 8:30! When I got up we started our baking right away. We started with banana chocolate chip muffins, carrot spice muffins and raisin bran muffins. Our little helper was pretty stinkin' cute I must say!

The rest of our day was spent tidying up, doing laundry, playing, and we made a big batch of sliced carrots for the freezer. During Noah's nap M and I hit up the hot tub and then I hopped in the shower
right after. After nap time Noah, Gracie and Daddy headed to the park to play! Apparently it was fun and smiles until he took a face plant on the way home and ended up with a bloody lip.

This morning we heard Noah fall out of his bed, he whimpered a bit, but climbed back in bed and went to sleep. M went up to make sure he was okay and he didn't seemed phased by it at all. M however was not a happy camper about being awake at 1 AM and had a melt down when he came down thinking nothing happened... Nothing better than grumpy men at 1 AM??

Then to make matters worse... He woke the whole house up at 6 AM again with his stupid alarm and then was dropping stuff after that. So clearly he is having a Monday and therefor all of us are too... Men...

Friday Things

So originally I was going to post a review for some super adorable hats, however, my computer was taking too long to load the pics, and I didn't have enough patience to wait, so I will quickly recap our little staycation. Next week I will tell you about having my wisdom pulled... As I am currently in recovery mode.

We had the annual drainage conference to attend again this year, which is only about an hour away, but it is just easier to stay over since it involves a few late nights and it makes for a nice little staycation!

Tuesday we packed up and headed out, Noah decided he was not going to nap during the car-ride, so after two stops (old navy and the hospital to pick up a script) he was done. We got to the hotel and all checked in by 2:30 and it didn't take us long to head to the pool!!

He was a bit nervous of the pool at first, but quickly remembered what it was all about and was jumping in, swimming on his own again and asking Daddy to throw him one more time!

Around 5, M went and picked up my Mom, who just lives around the corner, as well as some dinner for Mom and Noah and by the time he was back, I was all ready to go to our first dinner out of the week. It was at the hotel this year, which was nice! Here we are all spiffed up:

Part way through the evening - after dinner, I went back to the room to see how Mom was making out with getting Noah to bed and this is what I found:

However when we got back to our room and after M took Mom home, I ended up with a toothache from hell, which was really hard to manage when sharing a room with a toddler. I ended up being up until 3 AM, and Noah was being woken up by parties in the hall until 2:30... So needless to say our night was very rough!!

After breakfast I skipped the ladies program in the morning and took this little fish swimming again. He was a big fan and wasn't shy of the water at all! Look at his little housecoat!!

I dropped Noah off with Daddy to have lunch with him and Grandpa and I enjoyed a nice peaceful lunch with the ladies program! They had spa services come in the afternoon and I had signed up for a pedicure:

It was nice to get a little pampering in! I came back to my room to find that Grandma had gotten Noah down for a nap, so then I was able to rest for about half an hour!

The guys program finished by 4, so they decided to take Noah swimming, which gave me time to get my hair straightened!

M went to pick up my mom and I ordered room service for dinner for the two of them. And then I finished getting myself ready! All set:

And all ready for date night numero deux:

We had a fantastic dinner and the entertainer was Mat Gautier and he was really good with parodies/music and comedy. We really enjoyed the show. Luckily it wasn't too late of a night for my mom and M ran her back home around 11.

Everyone slept much better that night as well!! Thank goodness!! M had a few things to attend in the morning, so Grandma, Noah and I decided to hit up the hotel restaurant for breakfast! Noah was a champ and was offered ice cream for dessert after breakfast:

Clearly he couldn't pass that up and he even got sprinkles (for the first time). We headed to Costco before picking up M and heading home and that is when the daunting time was catching up on me to get this wisdom tooth pulled.

But like I said I will touch base on that next week, along with the product review I can't wait to share!!

28 Weeks with Baby V2

 How Far Along:
28 weeks

Size Of Baby?

Maternity Clothes?
Yes! I remember getting away with wearing non-maternity clothes last pregnancy, but because the baby is soo much higher this time, my belly peeks out the bottom of non-maternity cloths and even my tank tops!!

Stretch Marks?
Nope, trying to remember to put oil on at least once a week!

Gender?
We will find out in April!!

Name?
We will share in April, our girl names are pretty much set, but boy names are very few, I will say we have two contenders and two middle names all picked out!

Sleep?
One rough night due to another tooth ache and horrible headache put me behind this week. Naps became necessary twice this week!

Cravings/Aversions?
Still loving chocolate milk shakes.

Movement?
This baby is soo active still soo high up, such opposite from my pregnancy with Noah. Early this week I did feel the baby flip into head down position and is now carrying differently again.

Weight Gain:
20 pounds. I have a feeling I will gain more this pregnancy than with my last...

Feeling?
Very pregnant these days!! Skin is still breaking out, dry as sandpaper and blotchy. The need to pee all the time now is back!

What I Miss?
My mouth not hurting!

Items Bought for Baby:
These came in the mail this week!!!

What the doctor had to say?
Where do I start... He ok'd my tooth extraction surgery and that is scheduled for next week (which is this week when you are reading this). He believes my increase in blood pressure and headaches is more related to my tooth pain, so he is not starting me on meds at this point and I will continue to watch it closely at home. I did have an ultrasound this week as well and the baby is doing great. I am measuring a full two weeks ahead, which is crazy to me, but this baby might just be big, they guesstimated the baby to weight 3.4 pounds. I did have my sugar test done as well. I go back in 2 weeks for another check up.

Highlights:
Hello 3rd Trimester.
Seeing this sweet baby:

Belly Button?
In, but I will say it is getting shallower!

Bump Pic:

Looking Forward to:
My mouth not hurting, although I know it will post surgery for a bit. I am also looking forward to vacation, as we have started discussing that as well!

These posts will be a week behind, as I am now 29 weeks.
