Weekend Rewind

I'm pretty much sad that this weekend is over for a couple of different reasons. 1) I missed out on a full day of family time. 2) I wish the Luke Bryan concert was a full day of watching him, instead of just a few hours.

My weekend was pretty amazing.

Friday night Noah wanted to go for a truck drive, so we all loaded into the truck - the kids had thier pjs still on, because we had a pyjama day and then we let him direct us on where to go. It's safe to say he knows his own way to the farm from home! He took us right there, with a detour to the fireball on the way there. Smarty pants!!

So instead of driving by the farm, we actually stopped in because we had some stuff in the truck that M didn't drop off. So we thought we would let Noah take up to the door himself. He was pretty excited. He knocked at the door and no one came, so we told him to just go in, as we waited at the truck. Well the poor kid opened the one door, went to go in, fell and got stuck in the screen door. It really was quite the entrance. Grandma and Grandpa came quickly to the screaming, as did we. He was quite ticked off, but more upset that he wanted them to answer the door, so he could give the bag to Grandma. He got over it quickly and then just wanted to play for a bit, so we stayed for a bit before heading home to start bathes and bedtime.

Saturday morning I was out the door shortly after 9 AM, I picked up my sister and we were headed state-side. We anticipated a long border wait because the red wings were playing, as well as the football game, but nope, we crossed right away - no line up!!

This meant we had some time to shop!! Target was up first! I love that store. I soo wish it would come back to Canada, but with American pricing and American products - like it needs to be legit the same!! I ended up getting myself a shirt, the kids Christmas pyjamas, the kids some clothes - love their new kids line btw, I got a shadow box picture frame to put my last knitting project with my Grandma in. I also got Noah a little peppa pig play set, some wall art for Emilya's nursery - I really love how this is shaping up!! I also grabbed mini m&m's for baking and my favorite candy the don't sell in Canada - why???

We had no luck at TJ Maxx, I did well at Carters and I grabbed myself a 10ft long phone charging cable, oh and it has unicorns on it!!

We grabbed an early supper at Chili's, grabbed gas and attempted to head down to the concert. Apparently my sister isn't the best navigator, but we ended up making it and found some pretty decent parking!

The concert was amazing, of course, not a doubt in my mind that it wouldn't be!! I know I have been to a bunch of his concerts, even on the same tour, but they are all different!!! The concert was even extra long because it was the last one of the tour!!

We got back to my Dads around 12:30, visited for a but, I pumped and then went right to bed! In the morning, we had breakfast with my Dad and Cindy and then hit the road by 9:30, a little later than we planned! The drive is long, but always seems longer on the way home, and it was raining!

I got home right around 12 and had 45 minutes to get myself ready to goto a baptism. Seeing the kids was the best part of the day for sure! They both were soo happy to see me, such a warm feeling!! I gave Noah the little gift I got him and told him to close his eyes for a surprise - this is what I got:

But his reaction when he saw I got him Peppa Pig figurines was pretty good! I guess now I have some Christmas ideas for my family - haha.

Luckily it was close by, so I was able to leave Noah home to nap with Mike, while I took Emilya.

I came home after the service to pick up the boys, and of course Em fell asleep on the way home! We enjoyed a nice family get together, grabbed some dinner on the way home.

After suppe we had the fun task of pumpkin carving! We only ended up with one pumpkin this year, but we had fun carving it!! Be sure to check out the video on Instagram of Noah's reaction - still laughing about it!!

Em to the job quite seriously and bit it:

I will recap our Halloween hopefully tomorrow - Emilya is teething like a monster right now with her top two teeth coming in and is not a happy camper!!

Weekend Rewind

We had such a nice and low key weekend, granted it rained most of the weekend, it was fine. We really just enjoyed the slow weekend as a family!

Friday night was spent getting the nursery cleaned up. M was adamant that Emilya was moving up there, whereas I was on the fence. I like my babies close and struggle with the transition more than the kids. The rest of the night was spent reading for me. I am reading Me Before You and it's due back next week, so the push is on to get it finished. It's such a good book, I don't want to miss out on finishing it!

Emilya woke around 3 AM and didn't settle until after 4 AM. M was up with her, since this was his brilliant idea, but I didn't sleep well at all. So I slept in until 8 and still woke up exhausted. We ended up running a bit late for gymnastics, but Noah did really well with the class! I love that he gets that time with M doing the class together, as much as I would love to do it with them, I like that they have thier own thing together and get that time together. Em and I enjoy watching anyways and the hour goes by so fast! We grabbed lunch on the way home and played a bit before naptime.

Side note, our old house is on the market and well we went from being excited to see it and then
majorly disappointed. It's hard seeing something you put soo much pride and hard work in look soo shabby and well... Not very nice. The craziest part is the price... They are asking almost 100,000 more than what they paid and have not improved anything at all. And just incase you are thinking it can't be that bad... Think red walls with leopard print curtains or plywood deck or paneling the walls... Yes panelling?? Oh and the beautiful floors we refinished... They covered them too!

I ended up napping while the kids did. After supper we went for a walk and just had some family time before bed. I ended up reading over half of the book - it's soo good!!

Saturday night Em woke up at 3 AM, so she definitely is not sleeping all night, but Noah doesn't seem phased by the extra noises, so that's good. I slept in again until 8 AM and then worked on some laundry after pumping. I'm pumping now every morning when I wake up and we give Emilya a bottle, now that she's waking in the night, we are very grateful for the extra bottle we get.

My sister came over at 10 AM to go shopping, however, we did end up leaving until 10:30, by the time M got Emilya down for her nap! We hit up Marshalls and HomeSense first, where I got a baptism gift and a gold heart blanket for Emilya's room. We grabbed some lunch and then headed to Costco - it was a zoo, but I did get some Christmas shopping done!! My eyes are officially peeled for Christmas gifts and I ordered a book set for Emilya as soon as I got home.

After we arrived home and my sister left, I had to pull Emilya's 9 month clothes - sleepers in particular, everything else in 6 months still fits! So I got laundry going, folded laundry, vacuumed, and we started making homemade apple sauce for Emilya! I had picked up a chicken from Costco for dinner, so it was a really easy supper. We decided to try for a walk despite the weather raining on and off and it did spit for a bit of our walk, but the kids got some fresh air, so we were happy.

Sunday night I watched Heartland and read somemore of my book! Just about finished!

This weekend I found out that I will be able to make it to the Luke Bryan concert at the end of the month! Soo excited!! Even if it means an overnight away from my babies!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Weekend Rewind

Wow, another weekend zoomed on by and it was nothing short of fun fun fun!

Friday night was low key. I ran into town to get a few groceries and cake supplies and came home to a child-free hour since M took Noah out with him to do running around. M came home, got Noah ready for bed and then in bed and headed back out to finish running his errands, aka socializing haha. Pretty sure I was in bed by 10:30.

Saturday morning involved a sleep in for me, even though I didn't wake up feeling rested after trying a new pregnancy pillow that I officially hate. I headed up to the nursery and took down all the wall decor so we could see any holes needing to be patched and went through a few bins. Fingers crossed next weekend I get the baby clothes freshly laundered and put away. M and Noah went outside for a bit,  managed to finally get the Christmas decor down from outside.

Saturday afternoon I decided to take advantage of our double digit temps and sunshine and hit up the hot tub for some vitamin D!

Gracie enjoyed laying on the grass since the snow miraculously melted overnight!! Love warm days in February and I'm soo ready to be done with winter and snow and bring on spring!!

I made Noah's cupcakes and my Mom showed up just in time to help tame our wild child... He was just hopping from one thing to the next... A little reading one minute...

Cleaning the next, which I will never complain about!

He had a melt down when M left to help set up for the firemans wing night, which set off a huge red flag for when I was going to leave. Ever since Florida Noah has had some huge separation anxiety issues. When it came time for me to leave he had a huge melt down, blocked the door, hugged my leg, turned down my bribes of peppa pig and smarties, etc. It was horrible and there is nothing worse than leaving your child soo upset. I finally made it out the door, forgetting my ticket on the fridge... Which I wasn't going back for. I drove around the block for about 5 minutes and called the house to see if it was safe for me to goto the wing night. He had just stopped crying, so off I went! It was fun! Even with M being there, it ended up being more of a girls night out for me because M was busy helping. This baby loved the music and dancing, but I will tell you the amount of Braxton and Hicks I felt that night was insane!! I feel like my belly was constantly tight and I did feel soo uncomfortable.

Believe it or not I made it right till the end and didn't get to bed until after 1:30 AM!! I am still paying for this now! Soo tired and my body is just feeling rested after sleep these days. Noah had a great night with my Mom, which was good to hear despite the rough start. M popped home to put him to bed and brought my Mom some wings.

Sunday morning despite wanting to keep on sleeping, I was up by 9, knowing I had my sisters fam coming over around 10. I had to vacuum yet again because Gracie is shedding like a beast these days with the weather bouncing back and forth. I also had to get the cupcakes iced!! I decided to do peppa pig cupcakes, granted they ended up looking like pigs, not exactly peppa, but Noah got the idea!

I decided to try to use up all my icing and ended up with these swirl cupcakes as well!!

Needless to say we had a great morning with family, it was nice and quiet and peaceful, the kids all played well and was great quality time!

Noah loved his gifts as well! He got the IKEA train sets, a fish to swim in the bath tub (but it didn't work, so we will exchange that on Friday), he got a Gordan track master train and a bus! He loved all of it and enjoyed playing the day away with them all!

His reactions were just the best this year and I'm kind of sad that the birthday celebrations are done because this year he really just enjoyed it all!

We did grilled cheese for lunch (Noah's request of course) and everyone left just shortly after 1, just intime for Noah to have a nap - oh and me too!!

Noah just played the afternoon and evening away with his new toys:

We took advantage of a Sunday Family Selfie. Squinty, tired eyes for this mama!!

He found a way to p,any with all his new toys at once!

He also tried to play with the fishy that didn't work! Hopefully he forgets about it until we can replace it! It is supposed to swim around in the tub with him!

And there you have it! We are back to Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Loves On Wednesday

A while has gone by since I have shared some of the things I am loving, aside from my sweet little family, but of course they will be included too!!

I am loving that we are finally getting some summer weather! I have felt soo ripped off this summer, but you won't find me complaining that September has actually been HOT so far!! It is welcomed with open arms!!

I am loving these outfits:
SO many cute outfit ideas! All my style!
I know they are clearly for fall weather... but I have to prepare myself! Hopefully I will have some fall clothes that fit!

I am loving the photo book that I ordered! Despite the issues I had with the company, the frustration was worth it and Photobook Canada actually came through for me! This is such a memorable keepsake that I will hold dear to my heart!!

I also just made a book of my maternity pics from My Publusher... hopefully they make a good product! I wasn't a fan of their software, that much I know!

I am secretly (not so much of a secret now) happy that the ball season is finished after this weekend!! Don't get me wrong, I love watching ball, I love our team, but I do look forward to freeing up our Friday nights, not that we have that much going on, but September is crazy busy for us!!

We have two weddings back to back and I am loving these pieces from my sister's etsy shop and hoping she will manage to get them done in time for me:

Ivory pearl braided cuff, ivory pearl bracelet, bridesmaids bracelet, ivory bracelet, pearl bracelet, statement bracelet, elegant bracelet

Braided pale pink ivory and gold bib necklace, braided beaded bib necklace, pale pink necklace, pink bridesmaids, gold bridesmaids, necklace

Black and silver multi-strand bracelet, black beaded bracelet, silver and black seed bead bracelet, black bridesmaids, boho bracelet,

And I have decided on the second dress yet, or even the first one... but I like designs and know she will do colors to match perfectly!!

But I am thinking I love this hair do for at least one of them:
Messy French Twist, perfect for brides! #weddinghair

I am loving this headboard and I am pretty sure that we have some barn boards from the farm that I know could make this beauty:
.

Since we have decided we like the room the best the way we have it and will not be changing it around anymore!

I am loving this little boy... he is the apple of my eye. I can't get over the changes he makes every single day, right in front of me!!

I am not loving my allergies, but this did make me laugh!! It is soo true!
Hahaha

I am also pretty sure I have decided on a color scheme for the new bathroom - finally!
I do not like the colour choice, but the idea of the coordinates only being on display this is great - either for a linen closet or a bathroom or even a craft room office

Minus the white towels because let's be realistic - my husband works in mud and I have a son! haha!

And we will finish this post off with a quote that is holding true to me right now:
Whatever is worrying you right now, forget about it. Take a deep breath, and trust in God.
