Weekend Rewind

Likely the most boring weekend rewind in a while - just sayin!!

Friday night Noah was off to the lake for his first weekend sleep over!! M and I ordered take out from the restaurant and hung out in a quiet house before he headed to ball and I headed to hang out with the ladies with Emilya! She stayed awake the whole evening and flight sleep like a champ fort he whole girls night, but she was at least happy while doing it!

Saturday morning we all woke up at 7:30, I got some laundry started and we picked up the house a bit. We face timed with Noah to see how his first night away on the boat was, and it went well, aside from waking up early!

We packed up for the ball game and headed out!! I will say Emilya travelled not to badly this weekend!! Fingers crossed she's growing out of it or getting better at entertaining herself! Once we got to ball park, I put her sleep and enjoyed watching the whole game, interruption free without worrying where Noah was! They won that game, but had a huge gap inbetween games, so we welcomed the team back to our house inbetween games.

The kids swam, we ordered pizza and relaxed for a few hours. M and and I at least enjoyed getting the photo updates of Noah's weekend away - my one request haha.

The guys won their next game and then didn't play again until Sunday at 12:45! I had a pounding headache, thanks to his head cold M shared with me, so we picked up supper and came home! I enjoyed a soak in the hot tub, which helped my headache and then we had a quiet night! Pretty sure I was in bed by 10 PM!

Sunday morning we were all up by 7:30 again! M and I decided that a full weekend away from Noah is just too long, plus then M doesn't get any time with Noah! We will stick with overnights instead!

I finished making the zucchini loaves - the zucchini our neighbour gave me made 8 loaves in total!! We are going through freeze them! We hung a few pictures in Em's nursery, cleaned Noah's room and I had a quick shower before we headed back to ball!

The ended up with only 9 players and got mercied!

So we headed home with a tired Emilya and while she napped at home with M, I ran into town and grabbed groceries! I also bought a dual DVD player for the car to see if it will help distract Emilya by giving her something to focus on!

Noah didn't get home until 6 PM! M and I were pretty antsy to see him and we did get the biggest hugs when he got home. We had dinner with M's parents, and played for a bit before they went home and we got everyone ready for bed!

This little lady was especially happy to see Noah, although she learned how to make up for the noise she was missing and was constantly chatting all weekend!!

We all sure missed this squish this weekend! But he did have fun at the lake with Grandma and Grandpa!!

So there you have it, a rather quiet uneventful weekend it was, and as much as it was a nice break, just too long!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!! We are having a quiet day today!!

Summer Fun Recap 2015

This summer was filled with fun, so just to be able to recap what all went down this summer, I have been compiling a list of what all we did, so I won't forget!!

- zoo trips!! (4 to be exact)

- trip to the cottage in Grand Bend
- quad rides - Noah knows how to start them now!
- I ran my first 5K!!! It was slow, but an awesome start. I was only a few weeks in before I had to stop because I was pregnant (Drs reccomendation), but I look forward to picking it back up when I am able to post baby.
- shopping
- beach trip
- boating and seadooing

- built a deck and stairs up to the pool

- we visited the butterfly conservatory
- swimming in the pool and the lake
- we visited my Grandma's old house where I had a ton of memories. I loved seeing Noah in the same yard and house where I had so much fun!
- backhoe and tractor rides
- bbq'd and had play dates with friends and family
- we celebrated birthdays and anniversary's
- fireworks
- campfires - granted Noah has been sleeping during these for safety reasons
- splash pad (2)
(Yes Noah is in there... Covered in water...)
- RTVing
- flying on an airplane (2)
- visiting cousin Jenna's in Saskatchewan
- sleeping in a camper for the first time
- horse back riding
- we went to the farm show
- we said goodbye to our Lily girl!! Miss her like crazy every single day!
 - we took family photos
- becoming a BIG brother!
 - seeing the baby and his/her heart beating!! Soo special!!

It was a busy summer to say the least, but it was awesome and one I don't think we will forget!! Traveling alone with your toddler in the earliest weeks of your pregnancy with a busy toddler to say the least was very exhausting, but it was an opportunity we couldn't out on and it was already booked before we found out we were expecting. We found out the week before we left!

But it was a great summer, we had lots of fun with friends and family and created lots of memories!! Noah did awesome with swimming and is just like his mom and dad - a water rat! He doesn't want to get out!!  Having our Brantford Zoo pass was a nice thing to have this summer as we managed to at least get the cost of the pass in, plus one extra trip I think. Our last trip there was definitely our best, as Noah was really interested in all the animals!!

Backhoe, tractor, RTVing, and quad rides will never get old with this little guy!! I'm sure we did more, but that at least sums up the biggest events that took place!!!

Long Weekend Loving

Wow, it's August and the first long weekend is done and over with!!

We had a fantastic weekend!! Friday started off with a win for the ball team. Noah was fast asleep in the stroller so we went and grabbed a beer at the pub here in the village afterwards.

Saturday was nice and low key! We attempted to start cleaning out the toy room, but it was too hot and our air doesn't circulate the upstairs properly, so we decided to give up! The weather was pretty gloomy and it was stormy all around us, despite being hot, but we managed to sneak in a walk.

Sunday morning we packed up and headed down to the lake for Noah's first sleep over on the boat! We went out on the water, and it was gorgeous! We could see storms on land, but none of them reached us!

Noah on the boat is hit and miss. I'm sure he gets a bit of motion sickness, as he is waaay more pukey on the boat, but he doss well. The water is too cold for him, but we are working on figuring out a way around that. The sun was another big factor, because not only is it super sunny, but there is a sun glare in the water too!

Sunday night was pretty stressful for us all, M went to put a super tired Noah down to bed on the boat and Noah lost it. He was sooo upset, so we kept him up a bit longer after finally calming down, I put my music on my phone on and we took the dogs for a walk and came back with a sleeping baby! Success!! However getting him to settle on the boat was another story, part of me wanted to pack up and head home. But he finally relented and slept all night long.

Monday was much better!! We attempted to make Noah a little pool since the lake water was too cold for him, but he still wasn't a fan after some time if trying it!

Grandma and Grandpa gave M and I some down time and watched Noah while we relaxed for a bit! It was great!!  I'm glad Noah was more co-operative on Monday! I think he was starting to get used to it.

Still can't believe it is Tuesday!

Weekend REwind

So clearly this week has got away on me! So instead of just recapping my weekend, I will recap my week as well!

Saturday - M and I ran some errands in town, including picking up ceiling paint for the nursery!! We also ended up getting a new cabinet for the kitchen, so we have extra storage once the baby comes. Crazy how much stuff a baby needs for being soo small!

We headed down to the lake for thanksgiving at the boat, where we had a full delicious turkey dinner - coming from someone who doesn't care for turkey. We stayed the night on the boat, I was in bed by 10:30 - party animal! The boat comes out of the water next week, so this was our last time staying down!

Sunday - We had breakfast with the family, then M's parents had a wedding to get to and we had a family dinner to attend, so M's Mom and I did each others hair, snapped a few pics and headed our separate ways!

We dropped the dogs off at home, through an appetizer together, grabbed our buns and headed to my Aunts to celebrate with my Mom's side of the family. Once again, we had a full turkey dinner, played games and enjoyed each other's company!

Monday - we did some yard work, laundry, housework, vacuumed the pool and M put the first coat of paint on the ceiling in the nursery and what a change it makes!! Its already soo much brighter in the room!

Tuesday - at around 2:30 in the morning I awoke to come crazy painful stomach cramps. My sister had been telling me Monday night that Hannah, Brandon and Eric were all sick, as well as Eric's immediate family, who they had celebrated thanksgiving with earlier on Sunday. I was ever hopeful it was something they ate, not the flu. Turns out I ended up with the flu as well! It was horrible! After 6 hours of being violently ill, I survived the worst part and was able to keep liquids down at least. I haven't been THAT sick since I was a kid! Poor baby was probably wondering what the heck was going on! I am now super thankful for never having morning sickness!

Worst part was I had a photo shoot scheduled for that morning that I had to reschedule! I still feel bad about it, but it was out of my control!

I spent my entire day in either the bed or the bathroom! I don't recommend getting the flu while prego! Luckily I was under the watchful eye of Lux, he didn't leave me alone once!

Wednesday - I still wasn't feeling 100%, and I ended up with a bad headache all day and my body was just plain old sore! Nothing was taking it away, including forcing myself to eat, which I didn't have an appetite at all yet! Turns out my cousins ended up with the flu as well!

Thursday - still not 100%, but much better, just really tired, but I forced myself to get dressed and out of the house to run some errands. We also ended up having wings with friends last night too. It was great to actually feel and look human again!

Friday - still catching up on housework, as I feel the need to clean the house like crazy after having the flu, but still lacking in energy! But a little bit at a time!

Needless to say my week did not go as planned! But we survived it! I am still hoping and praying that M doesn't end up with it! He just has to survive today and he should be in the clear!

I am soo thankful for everyone who sent well wishes for my recovery, luckily it went through quick, its just the recovery stage that sucks! I would have been lost without Mike, who full on admits I make the worst sick person ever, especially while pregnant, as I ended up crying about it, my Dad and MIL - who both stopped in to check on my and bring me Gatorade and popsicles!

This weekend I have a photo shoot booked for each day, weather pending of course and we plan to close the pool, assuming we can get the water to clear up! I'm also hoping the final coat will go on the nursery ceiling and we can tackle some more items on our to-do list!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

The Weekend That Came And Went

I can't believe it is Monday again already! And that it is the middle of September!! Craziness!!

Our weekend was just perfect!! Friday night we went into town did our groceries, grabbed DQ before having our dinner... M kept repeating how awesome it was to be adults after this one! We picked up dinner and headed home.

Friday we also celebrated Lily being off her her huge expensive meds!!! Now she will just take her thyroid,

Saturday we did house work, discussed the bench that was supposed to be built and I think we need to rethink the size! I think my initial length of it is too long. Especially since we ended up rearranging the great room furniture and with the room the way it is now, it just would not work. If I make the bench shorter, I might just have enough fabric left to make a new dog bed!!

Lux was folding towels... or pressing them... but I really think I caught him snoozing on the job!

I also find it somewhat humorous that when ever it comes to changing any room around, M always gets a medical call! I mean it clearly sucks for the person in need, but he always seems to run out the door when I say room change!

We basically just flipped the layout of the great room and I do like it, but I like it either way! Don't tell M but I think we might have to flip it back for Christmas to accommodate our tree! But we will see!!

Sunday we headed to the lake!! The water was chilly, M and the dogs went in, but I will be honest, I didn't even suit up!! I decided to stay in my dress!! Here are some pics from our day:

On our way out on the water!

I happened to be on the wrong side of the boat on the way home... it was just a wee bit wet!!  It was pretty choppy water!! No rain, just pure sunshine, but windy!

Home sweet home! M clearly had been wearing a hat all day! lol!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

It Was A LONG Weekend!!

So, as you can imagine my Friday didn't quite pan out the way it was supposed to! My blogging plans were cancelled when I woke up with a swollen face... thank you allergies! So I spent my morning with ice on my face, until it came time to curl my hair, and then the ice ended up on my neck because once again, I burned myself! I didn't think it would have caused an actual burn, but oh boy did it ever!!

But my hair looked good:

And my sandals and freshly painted purple toes:

The necklace I was telling you about that my sister made:

And the dress:

The hubs and I:

The wedding was outside and it was HOT, but it was a beautiful ceremony! We made it home by 1:15 AM.

Saturday we had a bank appointment, got groceries, came home, did some laundry, had dinner and then headed down to the lake for the rest of the weekend!

Sunday we debated going out on the water because it was windy and the water was a bit rough, but we decided to attempt it and we made out well!! It was a wet ride out, as one wave came into the boat and soaked us all, but the rest of day was perfect and the ride to the harbor was smoother!

We had lunch on the boat and it turns out the buns I bought had ants in them!! I called the store, because the bag was sealed, so they must have come from the store, they told me to freeze the buns and bring them back - more on that story below!

The evening was spent having dinner and in good company, as well as a card game where the women won!!

Sunday was still windy, but we went out for lunch on the boat and let the dogs play in the water, it was a relaxing day and we were back home by 8 PM!

Today I had to run around and pick up some Scentsy bars, and take the buns back to the grocery store. The lady was soo rude! She told me there was no way I bought the buns on Saturday because of the expiry date - so I proved to her with my receipt. Her response was "Oh!" - which also means that they sold the other ones! Then she said the ants must have gotten in the bag while they were in my possession! I told her the bag was sealed and that there was no way they could have gotten in! I was beginning to get mad - so much for calling when I noticed to protect other people and so much for wasting my time! They did give me my $2.50 back - which I could careless about since it costed me more than $2.50 to drive them back in gas money! She didn't thank me for making them aware, and I highly doubt she was actually going to send them away to be tested. Sooo frustrating!!

I also placed my 2nd Scentsy Order today!! That was pretty exciting!!

It's a rainy day today and I need to go figure out something for dinner and put away some laundry!

Hope everyone had a safe and fun long weekend!!
