Manic Monday Post and Bachelor!

On Tuesday....

Sorry for the lack of blogging yesterday, I have been a super busy girl!!

Let's start with Friday night - games night at M and J's. We had the typical great time, lots of celebrating was done because it was beginning of March Break, which does not really effect me, but it does most of friends!!

Saturday Morning - headed to breakfast with S and J, after deciding the night before that we should. S and I took a dip in the hot tub after. Around 12:00 I headed to my sister's to pick up her and H to go to London. I had to get measured for my MOH dress and then we decided to go head over to Home Sense and Winners while we were in London. We were going to visit my Grandma, but she has a highly contagious infection right now and we were recommended not to. But she is getting better. After shopping I was exhausted!! M was soo sweet, when I got home, he had dealt with all the laundry and had dinner on the go!! Have I mentioned how much I love this man!? I went to bed at 9!!! We put a new duvet on the bed and it is stinkin' hot under there!! WOW! Which meant that I did not sleep very well...

Sunday Morning - M was making me breakfast in bed... long story short, he won a bet, but somehow I still got my end of the bet... once again I love my man!! Until his pager went off for a medical call. I ended up finishing making it and eating it alone!! Poor M! He made poached eggs and his were pretty much hard boiled by the time he got to enjoy them. So are you wondering what our bet was about? I said to him he was pretty fly for a white guy and then he couldn't remember who sang it. I suggested that it was the guy that looks like Ty Pennington, (which we later found out was Mark McGrath) He suggested it was Offspring... Turns out it was Offspring, but I was not completely wrong because Mark McGrath sings Fly.

Sunday afternoon we headed to Cambridge with M and J for a suit fitting for M's wedding! Then the four of us hit up Costco and Chapters, where we sat and got caught up on gossip magazines. We were trying to blow off time, as everything closed at 5:00 PM and we had dinner plans for 7:00 for the grand opening celebration at McMullens on Highland. The owner boats with M's parents. He has another restaurant on King Street too in Kitchener. What a great spread they had, my favorites included the sliders and deep fried pizza dough rolled in garlic and Parmesan cheese!! The pizza and wings were fantastic too!! Actually it all was!! I had a little mishap though, but not because of them, I had went up to get more fries, but had to pick through the warmer plate, which also had a breaded shrimp at one point, turns out I must have ate something that had touched the shrimp, because KABAM I had lips bigger than Angelina Jolie and they were on FIRE!! I am allergic to fish, it is for sure now, not just a guess, it is only getting worse and worse when I come in contact with it!! Lessen learned I will be more careful!! They had great entertainment, which included a live band and a Pipe Band, which was fantastic!!! Great time over all, I will be heading back!! We had an interesting drive home to say the least. It turns out that M and I need to update our GPS... according to the GPS we were driving through a sod farm, which was really suburbia hell!! We made it out of town and met up with a few deer, luckily they moved out of the way. We didn't end up getting home until after 11 PM!! J and I decided that we would head to Buffalo on Monday last minute!

So on Monday Morning, we head over the border to Buffalo for some shopping! After shopping, M and I had dinner at M and J's and then the guys left to go over to N, while K and K came over to J's for the finale of the Bachelor!

The Bachelor deserves a whole new paragraph!! I am thrilled to bits that he picked Emily, but not surprised by their troubles. I think with hard work and dedication, they can get through it. Brad is really in love with her. I also loved Emily's new hair do. I loved that they had the other couples advising them on how to get through this. It would be hard watching the show, you would go from believing that this man loves you and that what you had was special and then see it with the other girls... that would be hard! I am glad Chantelle found love elsewhere. I know my last post contradicts what I am saying now, but I decided last night at girl's night that Emily was the one... although his life is going to change drastically with having a child to think of now, with work and time, he can get through it, she just needs to allow him to! I like that they kept it real, and didn't go on the show saying everything was fantastic, only to flop in a week...

Oh by the way, the weather is getting warmer and I am LOVING it! I look forward to long walks and a healthy lifestyle!!! Watch out spring, I plan on bouncing back!!

I Confess...

Okay, enough about vacation!! It is only beginning to depress me because it is over and there is still snow flying back here at home!! It is time to get back to business around here, but with that being said I should probably get a few things off my chest.

But before I spill the beans with my confessions, I just wanted everyone to say a quick prayer for those affected by the earthquake/tsunami. I would also ask that you say a prayer for my Grandma, she has been admitted to the hospital with a long list of ailments. Praying for a quick painless recovery!!

Okay, here it goes:

I confess that I had to look up the difference between affect and effect. Not only did I just do it today, I do it all the time! I don't know why I can't remember this one, it confuses me all the time!! I am still not even sure that I used it correctly!

I confess that we have unpacked our suitcases, but a large quantity of the "stuff" (including clothes) still lies on my dining room table!! I hope to take care of this this weekend!

I confess that I have laundry baskets of unfolded clean clothes awaiting me, and they have been that way since before I left for vacation.... no judging!

I confess to HATING this weather... can it be nice out yet?!

I confess to dreading the dress fitting that I HAVE to go to today... because of the next confession..

I confess to not beginning my workout or healthy eating act yet.... it is sooo hard and as my excuse - this weather doesn't help!! M and I planning on doing it together....

I confess to missing Dominican.... enough said..

I confess that I have fallen even more in love with my man... it was soo nice to just get away and have time to ourselves!! I didn't think I could fall deeper, but apparently it is possible!!

I confess to wanting to get a lot done in a day, but can hardly find the motivation to get off the couch once I get home from work!! Even on my off days... its hard... really hard....

I confess to being lazy lately.

Okay, that is enough confessions for a day... it is time to get busy with a few of them!! Have a good weekend!!

So What Happened in Dominican!?

You mean, aside from the fact that we had an amazing time?  Most of our days were spent sipping on fruity drinks and lounging by the pool/beach, catching as many rays as we could!! Our nights were spent drinking a few more drinks and entertainment by the hotel staff that we of course couldn't wait to be part of!! Let's just say our names were well known by the hotel staff!! haha!

We met a lot of great people while we were down there, heck we even adopted a "nana" - she was there as a babysitter for her grandchildren, we thought she did such a great job, we called her nana ourselves. But on Nana's night off, we showed her how to PARTY and she showed us some sweet dance moves!! That lady had the moves!!

 We did one day trip which included going to the Fort San Felipe - which was built in the 16th century to fight off pirates, we went to the Amber museum, as well as the factory. We also took a cable car up 2600 feet to explore Mount Isabel de Torres, which had a botanical garden and a huge statue of Jesus. The view was absolutely amazing. We went to the Brugal Rum factory, where we purchased 4 bottles of their finest. We went down town Puerto Plata, stopped at the Catholic Cathedral Church and we stopped at a beautiful orchid garden!!! We had lunch in Sosua and then hit up the market on Sosua Beach and lounged for a bit. It was a full day, but a fun one.

Another great thing about our trip was that I got to spend it with my MOH and her boyfriend!! We don't get to see each other all that often, so this was the perfect reunion!! I will admit I was a bit nervous about travelling with friends, but I would travel again with these two any day!!!

So, that is my trip all summed up!!! As I said, I would highly recommend staying at the VH Gran Ventana. It was affordable and very accommodating. The WiFi was not free, but who cares, you are on vacation!! The beach vendors were pesky, but you didn't HAVE to go to the beach!! Overall, great time!!!

Oh and by the way, this was my 200th post!!! Wowzers!!!

Getting Caught Up

There are soo many things I need to get caught up on! I am finally caught up at work, which is great and I didn't have to travel today, which was even better because of the mixed bag of weather we are getting today. It cannot seem to decide if it wants to snow or rain, personally I would prefer the rain but it is trying to do both!

I am trying to get caught up on everyone's blogs, it's a slow process.

I am also trying to get caught up on TV! Like the Bachelor... I have watched last weeks episode and a bit of the girls tell all. I still think Michelle is crazy, I feel bad for her, but at the same time, you have put yourself in the eye of the public, knowing full well what the outcome of that could be. Maybe she isn't psycho, but I got sick of her dragging her daughter into this, not to mention, your daughter will one day see all of this... geez whiz!! As for who I think Brad will pick... I am torn! I think Chantel and Brad have great chemistry, but she is needy and emotional, granted I probably would be too if I were on the show competing for a guy. Emily and Brad are sweet, but I am not sure that Brad is ready for Emily. US Weekly has an article claiming her past is a lie, but I don't think someone can make up a lie like that, but then again, we only see soo much on the TV. I still like Emily, she seems like a sweet southern belle and Brad has gone out of his way to show her how he feels throughout the whole show! I am leaning towards Emily, but can't throw Chantel out just yet!

One Tree Hill is now on hold and left a big cliff hanger... I hate that!! I will hafta wait until April to find out about the babies being born!!

General Hospital is heating up! I am totally done with this stupid Balkin thing though... Oh did I mention I love Jason and Sam...

I haven't watched Teen Mom 2 yet.

I also have soooo many pictures to get editing... I am a slacker!! I might poke away on that tomorrow!

I will also go into more detail about my trip soon!

{One} What color is your kitchen?My kitchen is a shade of aqua. The actual paint colour is called Clear Pond by Behr, its the primer in one paint! Which was awesome! We also used the color in the great room!!{Two} Do you have a good luck charm?Nope.

 

{Three} Do you prefer to write with a pen or pencil?Pen, but not just any pen... I am a pen snob! But if I had to use a pencil, I am picky about those too! haha! My hands only deserve the best right?! HA! 

 

{Four} Can you use chopsticks?

Probably not!! I don't really eat any food that I would have to use them for!

{Five} Do you prefer baths or showers?Showers. I would rather soak in the hot tub if needed, but not the bath tub.. I am a tall girl and there is never enough room!
 {Six} What is your favorite salad dressing?Cesar or BBQ Ranch 

 

{Seven} Can you sing the alphabet backwards? I have ever tried {Eight} Do you have any allergies?

I am probably the queen of allergies!! EVERYTHING outside... I am allergic to... grass, every tree, dirt, dust, flowers, pollen, etc. I am surprised I am not allergic to my fur-babies!! I am also allergic to fish.

{Nine} Crunchy or Creamy peanut butter?Creamy. But Crunchy for peanut butter cookies!!

 

{Ten} Have you ever hitch hiked?UM NO!!! Who the heck has... better question ARE YOU NUTS?!
