Wednesday Loves

Today I thought I would share some of the products I have been loving lately!!

Nicole had mentioned that she was loving this dry shampoo, so I thought I would give it a try because I wasn't loving my current one (treseme). But this one works awesome with my hair and helps control fly aways!!

I am also loving this BB cream! It has been my goto for evenening out my complexion and it's nice and light weight!!

I have a love/hate relationship with The 21 Day Fix!! Mainly I love it, the workouts are great, but my body is aching as it gets back into shape! I really need to just keep giving with it and not stop ever haha. I am using the meal plan as a guide and combining it with calorie counting and carb watching. But sometimes a girl just needs some ice cream or wine!!

I love this quote and it proves soo true in soo many ways of my life!!

I am currently in love with this yogurt:

Fruit bottom yogurt is my favorite, and usually I can only find it by Beatrice, but I happened to read
closely and this one jumped out at me! I love the fact that it is sweetened with honey instead of sugar and is natural!

I am trying my hardest to stick to only water, but there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day!!

Suprisingly enough the calorie count isn't horrendous! But ranks pretty high in sugars/carbs!

So embarrassingly enough, I am about to admit that I bought myself a selfie stick! Can I just justify it by saying how much easier family selfies can be now? Not to mention I could really get better at
outfit posts!! It was a great $8 buy!! Noah thinks it's pretty fun too!!

Yesterday M and I worked hard at giving the house the a good deep clean, since most of our attention was spend outdoors, the inside was getting pretty cluttered - it doesn't take long! All the laundry is put away, the mud room is actually clean and with M going back to work today, it will make life a lot easier to maintain a clean house then a messy one! It was challenging doing it with Noah, we turn our back for one minute and this happened:

But it didn't stop there.. He got quicker and next we knew it by the end of the afternoon he had figured out how to climb up on the table!!

I started taking in some of the clothes that I love too much to get rid of because they are too big!! Feels good to be back behind that sewing machine and very rewarding to have my clothes fitting me again! M thought it was funny seeing me sew in my underwear or bra because I would have to try it on to see how much more to take in!

I am also loving my INL3D box to stream TV and movies on! During the summer there is nothing on tv, so I have started watching Orange Is The New Black!

And last but not least I am loving my ENJO cleaning system. Cleaning chemical free is rewarding and I love that it is all reusable!! As I mentioned above we were cleaning the whole house, this made it quick and convienent and when I do windows and mirrors it is streak free!! It was a perfect day for cleaning today since it rained off and on all day, but we managed they out for a walk before Noah's bedtime!

M is back to work today, so we will be getting back into our regular routine! Noah was fighting naps with me last week because he preferred Daddy to do it, but this week he must have realized it was
coming and let me put him down both times! Actually, he fell asleep in his chair eating on Monday after play group!

This was a first! But I enjoyed the snuggles after!! I told you he went down easy!!

But today he did too when Daddy wasn't home after getting a fire call!

I will leave it with that for today! Happy Wednesday!!

Noah 15/16 Months

Generally Noah is one happy little boy, but we have also entered the phase where he is learning his feelings - more on that below... This little boy sure can light up a room with his smile and his eyes alone, add in his giggles and the room will be laughing too. I often feel like I need to pinch myself to remind myself that this really our life, our son, because sometimes it really is just too good to be true.

Sleep: Noah is a champ at sleeping throughout the night! Obviously teething and a cold has been the exception, but even with that he has done pretty well! Sleep ins are his thing, allowing mama to sleep in until 8 AM, but heck some mornings it has been 9 AM or after! Noah goes to bed around 7:30/8. He also got to try his hand at co-sleeping when he decided he didn't love his pack and play while we were on vacation, but I can't complain about that because not so secretly, I loved it, except it wasn't in a king bed haha.

Noah is down to one nap a day! We do have to keep him busy between 11 and 12 so he doesn't think about napping, depending on what time he wakes up, we can usually make it until 1 PM for a nap! He tends to fall asleep in the morning for any trips to to, but cat naps aren't our enemy anymore. It just means he will go down a little later! I am loving the new nap duration though! Noah has never really been a great napped, with only 30 minute naps max, but now we are getting 2-3 hour naps which is
just amazing.

Eating: Noah is one great eater!! The only thing he is super picky about seems to be meat. It's really hit or miss, but we have been working on hiding it in things. Food that he didn't like before he is open to trying, but once again tends to be hit and miss, like watermelon and cucumber. Noah has two bottles a day now, one when he first gets up and one when he goes to bed. Just this past week we tried cutting out the morning bottle and feeding him breakfast right away, but he is just not ready. He working hard on using utensils, but he has a long way to go! He is much better with having plates and bowls now without throwing them overboard too!

Teeth: We just found two new molars, one on the top and one on the bottom on his left side, so that brings him up to having 10 teeth now!!

Weight/Height: Noah is topping the scales at 28 pounds and 34 inches tall!! I thought he was looking tall compared to the other kids his age (we have a lot around us) and seeing him beside older kids and being almost the same height was good indicator! Clearly he is going to be tall with us as parents, so this is not a shock! He is mostly wearing 18 month clothes, but he has been outgrowing in length some of his tees! We have switched to two piece pjs for the most part at this point. The 24 month
sleepers are too big, 18 months are too short, so we have some 18 month two pieces and I bought 2T
two piece jams! Pj shirts are silly just saying, the length is ridiculous on some of them! No consistency at all!! So clearly we have a variety of sizes on the go!

Activity: Are you sure that we can't stay outside all the time? That is all Noah wants to do! He is the master at the slide and loves climbing - indoor or outdoor! He can crawl up on couches and chairs now too! I will say when he falls, he will get back up again and do it again until he gets it right! Love his spirit, he isn't easily discouraged unless he is tired!! He loves balls, water, swings, tractors, trucks, swimming, riding on toys, dumping water on his head, going for walks, walking his dogs, bath time,
books. There isn't too much he dislikes, aside from coming inside after playing outside or getting out
of the pool! He also really just wants to be apart of everything! Noah loves his pets as well, especially
cuddling with Gracie, climbing Lily and kissing Felix!

Talking/Milestones: Noah says about 10 words clearly including: mama/mom/mommy, daddy/dada/daddy, ya, kitty, Lily, ball and he says quite a few words that don't quite sound like they should! Sheep sounds like ship and sure sounds like shit. He is pretty chatty, but granted we still don't know what some of it means! He is all about answering your questions now with shaking his head no or saying ya. Noah can point to his nose, ears and head on que. he has mastered ride on toys, running,
climbing and waking backwards! He loves singing and dancing as well and definitely has his preference with songs!

Personality: I swear we are that extreme age where we are breaking into full on toddler mode over here. Typically he is pretty laid back, happy and content. We go through extreme mood changes around here from super happy to full on tantrum mad! Add in the hitting and it is just no fun, but really that is my only complaint!! He is starting to get over his make strange mode, luckily we only had a few weeks of that where he was super attached to M or I. With Noah having a cold and teething all at once, it was definetely a challenge and I was more than happy to have M home on holidays to
help us cope! He is a hug machine, and has really started to enjoy snuggling again!

Overall we are soo blessed with such an easy going baby, now turned toddler! He is playing well with other kids, but we need to work on the no hitting - he really doesn't get it! Some days seem longer than others, but I wouldn't trade the worst days, because for every bad moment, there is a good moment multiplied!

Parenting is no joke, it's all one giant learnt curve and what works for some parents doesn't for others - every kid is different. I will say I understand why parents drink more! Sometimes that glass of wine or beer at the end of the day is the answer! This is such a crucial time of our children's life where they are learning non-stop. Seeing something challenge Noah one day become easier the next day is just
something amazing to watch. Being a stay-at-home mom allows me to see all these moments and with that I feel so lucky!

Weekend Rewind

Hello warm weather, boy was it ever nice to have you!! We had a whole bunch of fun this weekend!!

Friday night was an early ball game, which threw Noah off a bit, and I actually let him out of his stroller to tour around, which kept me on my toes while trying to keep score as well! We managed and the team lost!

Noah sure cracked us up after the game when it came time to open the beer kitty. He dug right in and pulled out a bud light! But it didn't stop there - right up to his mouth it went to drink it! Luckily it was unopened, but he did enjoy drinking the ice water on the rim! Silly kid! The team had a good laugh about it!

Shortly after that he was passing out beers and giving cheers! Such a sport!

We came home to no power, but luckily it came back on within 20 minutes of getting home!

Saturday we officially finished the deck!! If you have me on Instagram then you have already seen it, but of course I will share again!! We are in love with this new space, it turned our better than we expected!

It actually feels like we have a true adult space now!! When we did become such grown ups??

Saturday afternoon we had friends come over to swim! The pool was 78!! I went in for the first time this year!

Saturday night I watched Magic Mike (the first one) and then headed to bed!

Sunday morning we finally got around to bathing the two cats, we had done Lux before and Felix is
too wild to bath - he gets the waterless kind, so Binx and Jazz were up! They have been shedding like crazy! Binx loves having a bath, so it was perfect for Noah to check out with out all the drama the other cats cause! Mike washes them and I dry them!

Noah was sporting his suns out guns out tank because the weather was perfect!!

C/o Cheeky Cheeky Baby

When Noah went down for his nap I did some running around and returns with J and then we decided to go open housing since we always talked about it, but never actually did it! By the time I made it home Noah has just gotten up and it was time to play outside!! We got Noah's new sprinkler out, which he loved, but it doesn't work properly, so I might return it! But clearly he loves the concept!!

The pool went up 82 on Sunday, which was perfect! You bet I was back in again!  Noah loves the water and does not want out!!

We had a bbq at our place with friends and then enjoyed a nice walk before starting Noah's bedtime routine!

Overall another great summer weekend and our weather has finally taken a turn for the warmer!!

Friday Things

We are kicking this colds butt in our house!! Noah is feeling soo much better and Daddy is too!! Somehow, I managed to not catch the same bug!!

Gone are the days of pictures in focus!!

As I mentioned before we took the dogs to the vet for their check ups and just as we expected, Gracie is fighting an infection and is on antibiotics. Poor girl is feeling rotten! She is also in better spirits today after a full day on the pills yesterday.

Yesterday we woke up to more rain... Which delayed our decking plans yet again!! So we decided to head into town to get some banking for the buisness done, and we got really ambitious and cleaned out all the empties to go back to the beer store! I made a whopping $40 for my efforts!! It was slightly embarrassing, but they have been in there for over a year!!

By the time we made it home it had started to clear and we were good to start when we got home!! The before:

My Dad came out to help us too, so that sped things along, not to mention Noah actually let all of us work while he played on his equipment! So it was a family DIY project and I had a lot of fun screwing the boards down!!

Our progress after Day 1:

Today we are back at it again and it is just about finished, but we ran out of screws!! So M is gone to return the extra boards and strapping and will grab more screws and trim! What I will say is how happy I am with how it looks!! It really is an awesome space!! Noah thinks so too:

This weekend is supposed to be gorgeous!! So we will be enjoying that for sure!!

Little Love on Wednesday

Luckily Noah seems to be in better spirits today!! Granted it's only 9 in the morning, but his symptoms seem a bit better and we haven't had any melt downs yet!! Welcome back my sweet baby!! Looks like we are kicking this colds butt!!

With Noah being sick, we have resorted to curing it with Kids 0-9 Cough and Cold and essential oils. So to start off my list of loves, I will say we are loving essential oils in our house as of late! I went with DoTerra, mainly because there was more info and background on their oils. Granted I'm still learning what to use when, but I have made up a few roller bottles of cold/flu bomb, one for M and one for Noah (difference being Frankinscence is in the adult version, because kids should only have Frankinscence every other day, I also added lavender to the kids one as a calming agent too)

I also made up a roller bottle of anti-itch the help with all the mosquito bites and the stinging nettle I got. I will do a detailed post on the oils soon!!

Yesterday I went shopping with my girlfriends, and time spent with them is always fun!! Not to mention it got me out of the germ infested house that I will be deep cleaning this week!

We just hit up Starbucks, Winners, Homesense and Costco, but I found a few great steals!!

Homesense really came through for me! I had a few returns to make too, so I didn't end spends as much, although in the long run it equals the same!!

I finally found some art for beside the TV! I had a family picture blown up that I just need to frame now, and then found these beautiful, rustic plaques:

My favorite is of course you are my sunshine, the dining room also has that quote, but I'm okay with that!! It's crazy what art on the walls does for the space. I hate empty walls and it literally felt like we
just moved in, granted we kind of did back in November, but I was waiting for the perfect piece and I have found them! It feels like home again!!

I also found this mug at Pier 1! As we struggle with conceiving baby #2, this cup is the reminder I need each day!! Hope will see us through!

It also reminds me of my Grandma, because she always used to have special little mugs for us that we drank our juice from!! We all know I am not a coffee or tea drinker, but this will be perfect for juice or wine (thanks for the idea Alison!)

Homesense also had these curtains!! I thought I would like them in my great room, but turns out they will add a splash of color for bedroom! They really are transitional in our house and can work in the great room, bathroom or bedroom!!

I also found a strawberry huller, which I have been hunting up for years!! They also had mattress protectors on clearance and ours died last year, so it was time to replace it!!

Costco has these jackets for just $28!! I have been saying for a while now that I needed a spring jacket and now I have one that I love! I could still use a longer one, but this one is great for walks and cooler days!!

When it came to leaving Costco, it was raining like crazy, we waited a bit but then decided to just go for it, as it wasn't getting any better! We were in ankle deep water before we knew it! It was crazy!

Overall it was great day! M went to the movies last night with a friend and luckily Noah stayed asleep while he was gone!!

Today we off to take the dogs to the vet and then hopefully getting started on the deck, since the weather was not deck building appropriate.
