Monthly Monday

Wondering what we will be up to this month? Well here is a list of things we hope to accomplish:

• celebrate Hannah's 2nd birthday!
• paint hardware on kitchen cupboards
• pack for our trip
• go away and enjoy a fantastic trip!

That is pretty much all that is on the list for this month! I know pretty boring right? Stay tuned, I will update you on the CRAZY past weekend I had!

Finally Friday

Monthly Monday is back this month! I just wasn't quite ready for it last month! We just had waay too much going on! This month we have a lot happening as well, but I need to stop using that as an excuse!

We have managed to get a lot accomplished in the last 2 months though, so we will do a mini version of finally Friday! So here is a list of what was completed:

• I got a bedroom door!! M did it all by himself and I painted it! We had it just in time for New Years!
• We got a blind for the bedroom door, since we got a door with glass in it (single french door). We went with a dark bamboo roller shade, so light could still get through, but provides enough privacy!
• We got Gracie a bigger dog kennel! However, we have started to leave time out when we are away for short periods! So far soo good!
• I made the KING size dog bed!! I will post more on this later.
• We made a new gazebo top for the hot tub! This was hard work, I was happy to have M's mom come and help!
• We switched the great room around.
• We also switched the master bedroom around!
• We cleaned the office and it was a pain in the butt and is still really hard to keep clean!
• I bought my indoor recycling bin.
• I died my hair, but I will probably have to do it again before my trip, we will see though!
• I got a blackberry and I probably love it, I am not ready to admit my true feelings for it yet, but it is pretty cool!
• I have been cooking more!! So far nothing has been a complete bust!
• I got new curtains for the great room (not sure if I love them or not, but got a good deal), bedroom and bathroom!
• Worked out a little more, but I'll be honest, not enough!
• The pool table has been set up and played on!
• We started working in the back basement and got rid of a big box of stuff!
• At Lily's last check up, she had not gained weight!! She remained the same! This was a small victory!!
• We hosted several parties and dinner parties!! Soo much fun!
• Bought the dance game for the Xbox Kinect, tried it out a few times.

Monthly Monday will be back next week! I have a whole new list of things that should get done!! Do you have any big plans for this month?

Thoughts on Thursday

Might I mention how weird it is to be working on a Thursday? Or how weird it was to off on a Wednesday? Today feels like a Friday because of this switcheroo! I am sure I will disappointed tomorrow! Amazing how quick habits form, I mean I used to work every week day! I am pretty spoiled to have 2 days off during the week! (It really is a good thing, being as I make the same amount working part-time than I did full-time at my old job..)

So today's thoughts are coming at you with BULLETS!!

• My sister is coming home from Florida today! She will have quite the snowy surprise awaiting her when her plane lands in Detroit today!! Praying for a safe flight and drive home!
• I ordered 2 magazine subscriptions yesterday!! House and Home and Style At Home. I cannot believe how much money you save with subscriptions!! I save like 70% of the cover price!! This investment pays off after only 3 months of buying it in store!

• I cannot wait for those subscriptions to get here! They gave access to the digital copy in the mean time for this month! 
• M and I get to babysit H this Saturday!! So pumped! I love that little girl! I will try to take pictures! 
• It is freezing cold!! We are talking -26 degrees Celsius with the windchill!! 
• Less than a month and I will be soaking up the sun! 
• I have been contact by CSN again!! I am debating between another give-away or a product review!
•   How cute is this dress from Victoria's Secret? I love it!!
• I am thinking about starting to pick out my wardrobe for Dominican!! I know its early, but it might be the one thing to get me through the weeks ahead until I leave!
• Tomorrows post will be all about what I have completed in the last two months! Finally Friday and Monthly Monday are coming back in full force! No more slacking for this young lady!

White Out Wednesday!

No pun intended in today's title... not at all!! We didn't get it as bad as some others, but we still got a fair amount and it is still coming down!! The wind is really the worst part. The dogs are just loving the fresh snow fall though. I did think that the temperature was supposed to get better, but it is freezing out there!

M spent 2 hours snow blowing the driveway! TWO hours people, it usually only takes maximum 1 hour! He said it was the snow drifts.

This morning J called and invited me over for brunch and a hangout with K and herself, so I headed over. We enjoyed omelette's, hash browns, toast and fruit smoothies! We watched some TV, flipped through home magazines and browsed Victoria Secrets dresses online. We also changed around her bedroom!

I don't really have anything too exciting happening right now, maybe because the snow is putting a damper on any possible plans, so have a good day! Stay warm!!

Snow, Bachelor, Vehicles

As I am sure most of you know, there is a BIG and bad snow storm on its way, in fact some of you may be experiencing it! Thank you Texas!! Lol! I just wish we got the weather Texas got, knowing it would melt in no time and it would not be like -20 there! But no, up here in Canada, it was -20 this morning, but the temp will go down to a -9, but we are in for up to 15 cm tonight and another 15+ tomorrow! Can we say CRAZY?! I am not one for this kind of weather! The wind alone is supposed to be nasty and is in fact already blowing strong!

I will admit I was a bit nervous! Nervous in the sense that I have to travel on Wednesdays about a good hours drive away from home and on roads that are NOT good in the winter!! I was freaking out about for tomorrows commute with the storming hitting the hardest over night! I get to work this morning and my boss told me to reschedule my day of appointments! I was like really? He said it was simply not worth it and where I am travelling to has the potential to get worse because it is by the lake, so the lake effect could make it worse! I will not argue with the man! It does get pretty dicey down there! So I have been phoning my patients and rescheduling and most of them have been more than happy to not have to go out in the weather tomorrow!

But it gets better! I will be working on Thursday now this week and my boss has given me tomorrow off!! So I don't have to drive ANYWHERE tomorrow! I can be snowed in! But I might want to hit up the grocery store tonight because I am running out of a few necessities in the house!

Here in Canada we usually laugh at 30 - 40 cm, we consider it nothing, but that was years ago, we haven't been getting this kind of snow for a couple of years now, with the exception of Windsor and London, who have been hit hard this year.

What a great way to start February off eh? Less than a month and I am outta here! I cannot wait!

The Bachelor: How is Michelle still on, especially after last night, and she is the first one to get rose after THAT stint she pulled at the rose ceremony?! I really felt bad for Emily! That must have been sooo hard for her to face, knowing her fiance was a part of nascar! I wanted the other Ashley to go home, although I understand that the one that did go home can probably do better than Brad! 

M and I have been discussing vehicles lately. It has been a BIG subject in our house lately and it is getting BIGGER! Can anyone recommend a good SUV. Not too small though, but decent on gas? As much as I hate the look, I am considering the Ford Flex! Give me some ideas people! I will go into more detail about this at a later date, but give me some ideas!!
