The Lucky One

I forgot to mention that about 2 weeks ago, K and I went and saw The Lucky One! So I thought I would do a movie review and try not to give too much away!!

I loved this movie!!!

The story line was fantastic with only one thing I would change about the whole movie that had to do with the end. No spoilers here!! Although if you have seen it, feel free to drop a line below and I will tell you what I am referring to if you can't figure it out.

Zac Efron - um YUM. When did he get soo HOT!? And his acting has improved soo much!!

I was a fan of Taylor Schilling when she was in Mercy on TV, however the show flopped, much to my dislike. I like a good hospital show!! She did a great job in this movie and I hope that she will be in more movies to come!!

The other thing that I loved was that Beth (movie character played by Schilling) runs a family kennel. So for all the pet lovers out there - lots of cute furry friends!!!

I also loved the strength that ended up coming out of Beth. It was very inspiring to see her stand up for what she believes in and find things in her heart that she didn't even know were there. There were points in the movie where the emotions seemed real and somewhat raw, but it helped build the characters and the connections.

Weekend Rewind

This past weekend flew on by!!!

Friday night M had his first ball game!!! Great start to the season with a 32-19 win!!! Way to go boys!! I am looking forward to this Friday's game here in the village!! Oh and just for the record, because a lot of you asked...

This technique does NOT work!!! I even tried smaller sections and used my hottest straightener. Big fat fail!!

Saturday M worked, but I sat outside and worked on my tan... I am not sure how much color I got, but it was gorgeous out!!! When M came home we did some garden brainstorming, and sat outside and just talked about everything going on in our lives. We went into town did groceries and grabbed Swiss Chalet for dinner! It was delicious!!

I decided to dye my hair Saturday night with M's help as usual!! Husband of the year award!!! I went with a color called "Deep Bronze Brown" - looked dark on the box. It is pretty reddish and lighter than I have gone in years, but I don't mind it! It will take some getting used to!

Sunday was B's baptism. The service was a bit long, but I enjoyed seeing family afterwards!!

Friday Lettters

Wow, we finally made it to Friday!!

Thursday got away from me, I managed to accomplish quite a bit! The weather was beautiful. I got my car cleaned out, a much needed manicure, the dogs hair cut, Lily to her vet appointment, she only lost 1 pound!! I also made some Terribly Terrific Toffee snacks of my own that I had mentioned on Monday and Wednesday! You can find the recipe on my Pinterest in the Pins I Have Done Folder!! YUM and soo easy!! I also managed to sit outside for a bit!! Busy, yet productive day!!

Dear Followers:

I just want to take a minute to thank you for all your support lately. It really is encouraging to read your positive notes when it feels like the world is coming crashing down. I also want to give a BIG shout out to all my new followers!!! I hope enjoy following along this crazy life of mine!

Dear Lily:

I am happy that yesterday's vet appointment went well and I am beginning to feel more comfortable with your treatment plan! Please continue to stay strong and know that I will fight this along your side with you. Just as you didn't give up when it would have been soo easy, I won't either! Just heard back from your vet and you are officially out of the woods!! Your blood work is not yet perfect, but it is not dangerously low!!! I am soo proud of you!!!

Dear Gracie:

I know that your nose is out of joint, but I also know that I am giving you extra attention as well and it seems as though you are ignoring that factor. Grandma really didn't enjoy the fact that you stole a loaf of bread out of her grocery bag. Acting out is not going to get you the good attention you want. I know you for some reason you did not like that thunderstorm last night and I enjoyed the extra cuddles, but I also hope this doesn't become a future plan for thunderstorms!

Dear Jazz:

You are really starting to make me mad... your attitude is just foul lately, hence your trip out to the garage yesterday! I asked Dad if you could stay out there and he said no, although I know you secretly liked it! I think we just needed some time apart.

Dear Hubby:

I am actually pretty excited that you have your first ball game tonight!! Go Team Smoke!!! I also hope that you don't get a fire call tonight because more than half of the team are firefighters!  I am also hoping you make some progress on your bathroom this weekend, although I know we will be busy!

Dear Brandon:

I am looking forward to seeing you on Sunday and witnessing your baptism! Although I am pretty sure God has had plans for you since you were conceived, I am happy to see you become part of the Catholic Society.

Little Love on Wednesday

I actually have soo many things I am loving, despite all the struggles we have been dealt as of lately.

I love this little lady:

I know I mention this a lot, but I am not even sure that words meet my feelings. She really is like a child to me! I love Gracie too, just the same, but my heart has been even heavier lately with all that has gone on with Lily!

* Mini update on Lily - she is eating!!! Regularly!!! Her energy levels have increased dramatically! She is back to wrestling with Daddy and Gracie and playing fetch. We have been easing her back into walking and we made it our furthest yet. I take her in tomorrow to see how her blood levels are! Praying she is out of the woods!!* 

I love my husband. As stressed as I have been about everything lately, he comes home from work and just eases my mind. Between the dogs, the cats and him alone, I am soo blessed. They are my life and I would be a mess without them all!

I am loving that M starts up his men's league baseball on Friday! I am looking forward to spending time with the girls on the bench and watching!!

I am also loving that this little boy:

is getting baptized this weekend!! He has come soo far and is doing amazingly well! I am looking forward to spending time with family to celebrate this little miracle!!

I am loving the beautiful weather we are about to receive!! Double digits that start with 2's - I won't complain!! I opened some windows before I left this morning!!
