Factual Friday!

Wow, never thought I would see Friday this week... it has been one long busy week!! I have worked a full work week and I can tell, not that I am complaining, but I was kind-of getting used to having 2 days off!! Oh well, the weekend is here and it is going to be just as busy!!

But let's start with today! Today it is freakin' raining AGAIN! It is such a tease to have nice sunny days only to be followed by more rain! M was soo excited to have worked a full day yesterday, instead of being in the shop! In case you forget, we have a family business that does farm drainage and it is around this time now that M works CRAZY hours, but this rain is preventing that for now. Usually he will be gone from dawn till dusk!

Hopefully the rain will clear up for this evening, we have a piano to move so we can get started on our mudroom reno! We will be moving it to the hobby shop! We went to pick up our flooring last night and sure enough they were closed!! Soo frustrating!! So I guess we will get that this weekend now! M is also supposed to play his first ball game tonight in the men's league! I love watching him play ball, but I also can't wait to get started in a couple of weeks for our co-ed lob ball!

Saturday M will probably work in the morning and then he will get started on operation mudroom in the afternoon. He is hoping to get the plumbing done for our laundry hook ups! I will empty the closet in the morning because we will creating a master walk-in closet, which I am thrilled to bits about! As much as I hate the actual renovation process, I love the finished product!! I am just a planner and I am not the one with the plans for these rooms, I just come up with ideas and M does it (I try to help out where I can, like with painting..)! That is how we work well together! Then Saturday night we are taking M's parents out for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day and Ron's Birthday!!!

Sunday morning we have brunch at my sister's for my Mom and that is all we have on the go!

Oh and Monday....... I am off and super pumped about it!!

A few other things on my mind:

• Why the heck will my music on my blog not play in Canada! That is just sooo stupid, which also means that I cannot hear the music others have on their blogs either! Does anyone know of another site/widget that will work?
• My grandma is back in the hospital!! She is battling too many things at once!

• Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's and Mom's To Be!
• My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are struggling to become a Mom. May God bless you and your hearts and give you strength, as you are reminded of your struggles on Mother's Day.
• I will be hosting my very first Guest Blogger soon!! Stay tuned!!

Master Bedroom Update

Our Master Bedroom with new floors! There will have to be a few more updates after this one because we still have to stain the furniture and do the photo wall! But here are the floors!!

I am soo proud of him for tackling and finishing the job! (Minus the quarter-round around the trim, but we will put that up when we do the mudroom)

• I am loving the conversation that I had with M this morning! I put on a new pair of sunglasses and M says "You look like a movie star." and I said "I am..." mini pause "I am the movie star in my own life". M just started laughing hysterically. Such a good way to leave the house. Love that man!

• I loved One Tree Hill last night!! Brooke is pregnant!!!

• I am also loving Jana Kramer's (from One Tree Hill) songs (- these are my entries for Goodnight Moon's link up). I don't want to post these videos twice.. so I am cheating!!! Forgive me!

• I love that Fabric Land is having a sale this weekend and I need to get moving on my sewing projects!

• I love that we are moving full force into renovation time! Bye-bye office, hello Mudroom and main floor laundry!! The office is moving to the old laundry room! Also I will be saying hello to a new master walk-in closet!!! (Oh and I remembered to take pictures of my bedroom on the weekend, I will try to remember to schedule a post for tomorrow for you all to see them.)

• I love that it is National Pet Week!!

• I am loving that the sun is FINALLY shining again!!!

I Am Back & Tail Wagging Tuesday!

Okay, I think I just caught myself up on yesterday's blog posts, however I did not comment on very many! Forgive me!

So what did I do yesterday that I was absent from 8 AM to 11:00 PM? Well here in Canada it was voting day! And I was working the polls! It was a very long and tiring day, but I survived!

Conservative party has won a majority government!!!!

Manic Monday

I am back after a crazy busy weekend!! We got sooo much accomplished this weekend!

Let's take a look at Friday. Friday we continued to work away at our Spring Cleaning List. I just updated it. M worked away on cleaning his bathroom and the basement. We were having company over on Saturday night, so we just did our spring deep cleaning in lieu of our regular cleaning. I had made plans to deliver the firefighter mugs that my dad had been working on since before Christmas for those who retired this year. So I called up the leader of the ladies aux and we made plans to deliver them.

My Dad did a great job and ended up engraving them all by hand!! It may have taken a little longer, but overall he did a great job!

Saturday morning M and I got up early and got right to work. I worked on my bathroom as M did the kitchen and then M headed outside to work on the gardens and the yard, as I cleaned the dining room and the bedroom. I also managed to wash all the floors!! I even got my spring wreath done!! It did not turn out exactly how I wanted it to, but here is how it looks:

Saturday evening we hosted this month's card party and then called a quits for the summer months. We figure we will start back up in September, as the summer is just waay to busy!

Today (Sunday) we did our groceries and I had a meeting at 1:30 and then Amy, Eric and H came over for dinner! Little H sure does love Lux! I am pretty sure it is a bit of a love/hate relationship though, but overall he did pretty good for being continuously mauled!

Stay tuned to see the updated pics of the bedroom floors, I finally remembered to take pictures, although they are without the quarter-round  on the baseboards, but we won't be putting that on until we do the mudroom!
