Dear Aging Body

Dear Aging Body,

I would like to have a word with you regarding a few things that have come up lately.

I would like to remind you that you are in deed only 26 and this need for laziness needs to come to an end. I have got weight to lose, weddings to attend and a swimsuit to fit into. You need to step up to the plate and start acting your age, not that of an 80 year old. I have actually met 80 year olds with more energy that you.

I get that you hate winter, but you need to stop holding me back with that sad excuse of yours.

I would also appreciate it if you would stop making my skin look like that of a 14 year old. Even when I was 14 I did not have acne. You also need to speed up the healing process as well, I have noticed you have been slacking lately. I would also appreciate it if you would stop drying my skin out as well. I am beginning to see why my mother slaps moisturizer on like there is no tomorrow, how ever I am struggling with time and I am very low maintenance. I simply do not want to take the extra 5 minutes to lather you up. If you begin to smarten up, I will take a few extra minutes for you after my shower. You have to give a little to get a little.

On a high note, you have gotten somewhat over eczema, for this I am very proud of you!!! You have fought a long battle with this and I am proud to say that you have just about beat this.

You are pretty much leaving me no choice but to start pumping you full of vitamins. So be prepared for this please.

Also, please note that I will be exercising more frequently and I would really appreciate your support in this, by not making my body ache in sooo many ways for sooo long afterwards. After all you are 26... not 80 and there is nothing worse than walking around town with the 80 year olds outwalking you because you are acting up.

I will also be eating healthier. So if you feel like toning up those muscles and shedding some pounds, please feel free to!! Just saying....

Thanks,

Ughhh, I dread getting older. I have more anxiety about it every day, I think. I wish I could stay 25 forever :(. Have a great weekend! xoxo
