Road Trip Day 1

As each day passes, I have decided to keep a journal on my phone documenting all the things that have happened.

We got up at 4:45 AM with hopes to be on the road by 5... we were on the road by 6!!

Gracie loves caramel sundaes from McDonald's.

Mike licked the spoon not realizing Gracie had just finished my ice cream with it. The look on his face as I tried to tell him through utter laughter was priceless. He just wanted to break it to fit it in the cup!

Chicago traffic is insane!  Oh and it was super hot there!

The i90 is an expensive road. We are almost at $10 and haven't got off yet.

Today we drove through Michigan, a bit of Indiana, Illinois and will be camping in Black River Falls Wisconsin.

Time changed randomly! We thought we would be at our campsite in an hour, turns out it will be 2 hours!

We stopped at about 7 pm, ate dinner (pizza hut) and put up our tent. Everything went smoothly. Luckily the camp ground had a pool and it did not take me long to get in!

The heat lasted ALL night! No break!! Solid heat and humidity!
