Crock Pot Lasagna Recipe

Crock Pot Lasagna

What You Need:
  • 1 pound of lean ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 or 2 cans of your favorite spaghetti sauce
  • shredded cheese ( I use Mozzarella) as much or as little as you would like
  • shredded feta cheese (about 1 or 2 cups)
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves
  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • a crock pot!
What You Need To Do:

  • Use a garlic press and mice up the 2 garlic cloves into a frying pan with your beef. Fry until browned.
  • Chop up onion finely or if you are like me and do not like the texture of onion, stick it in the mini chopper and puree it up!
  • Put the garlic/beef and onion in the crock pot.
  • Add the spaghetti sauce. Now I only added one can, but I think it could have used 1 1/2 cans because we found it a bit dry.
  • Add the tomato paste.
  • Break the lasagna noodles into bite size pieces and add to the crock pot.
  • Stir in some of the shredded Mozzarella, don't use it all, as you will need to top it off with some when it is finished.
  • Stir in feta cheese.
  • Turn the crock pot on low and let it cook for about 4 hours, stirring every so often.
  • When finished, top with the remaining Mozzarella cheese and let sit on "keep warm" setting for about 15 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!!

This is my favorite dish to make on a really busy day! Aside from the fact that my kids love lasagna, using crock pot can really save you a lot of time! You can actually fold the laundry away while dinner is cooking, lol!

I've tried doing a crock-pot lasagna twice now. The first time it was delicious (sorta dry b/c I had to improvise- we forgot a bag of canned groceries in the van, which I thought we actually forgot at the store. The second time, I was tending to my sweet/teething angel and was getting distracted every step of the way- forgot all the spices! I did manage to get some home-made bread baked though!
