Yesterday

Yesterday was a special day. We all know this.
Thank-you.

Enough said. There could never be enough said about Remembrance Day. It should not just be one day of Remembrance, it should be EVERY DAY. We all obviously don't think of it enough. We often forget how lucky we are, as we all get caught up in our own lives. We often think we struggle, but at least we CAN struggle. At least we have life. At least we have freedom.

Yesterday was not only Remembrance Day, but it was 1 year ago yesterday that rocked my world. My Dad had his heart attack a year ago yesterday. I sat in the hospital and waited for news and waited for surgery. In a matter of seconds, my Dad was fine and then he wasn't. I had the strength I did not know I had. I was terrified that the man that I knew as Dad would be gone forever. I work in cardiology and I know the risks and the outcomes. I know the importance of time when dealing with the heart.

My Dad is fine now, they gave him a stent and he is doing great.

Just remember how quick things can change, how a matter of minutes and seconds play roles in our lives.

Just remember how lucky we are!

Oh my goodness, what a story to share. I will be keeping your dad in my prayers.
